The grey area is simply the best coffeeshop in amsterdam

They always have the best selection of unique strains in town

Pros:  Some of the Best weed in town, and bottomless cup of coffee

Cons:  little small and crammed

Finally a shop that is enthusiastic about the weed they sell !!!

The Chocolope was simply amazing as well as the OG Bubba Kush.

Amsterdam is just not a complete trip without a stop to the Grey Area.

the cheese bud my m8 purchased from here was the best cheese version going around Dam hopefully next time they will have dna bud instock, all the good stuff was sold out. The price of weed here is probably the most exspensiv in Dam

the lemon is the bomb.
the cheap strains yellow cab and grey berry were worth the €8 gram.
my friends all brought dna sativa stuff and said it was great

Best buds in Town & friendly staff! Tried almost everything green on the menu. All great! |Their Sour diesel is nothing like I've ever tasted before! LA confidential although overprice was so sweet too!

Cons:  a lil Conseded for me, a lil seemingly damp-ish n DAMP fel to it!

Friendly Staff, with BOMB HASHISH, and some super strains, that even some, id had'nt even heard of at all, but tried some anyway, and it was very satisfied indeed to say the least about this place's weed n hashish!

Strong stuff ( HASHISH ) weed was also strong, but ONLY a couple strains that i tried , actually were the "doggy's Bollox", (VERY GOOD!!!)lol

Peace and a Visit here, will be "Worth It", not the GREATEST "looking" place, especially from "OUTSIDE", but very nice inside n good Quality when in there refreshing yourself with some "BB CHEESE" or something along the lines of "AFFIx MARROC" hashish!

Visited the Grey Area just once, and it was a couple hours before we had to leave for the flight back home.
I was deprived of sleep for a couple days and the weed at different places had nice tastes and all, but when I got to the Grey Area I had the most intense high out of the whole 3 days we were in Amsterdam.

I think it was the J1 Haze that did it!

Grey Area quite possibly sells the very finest weed in Amsterdam, imho. The selection is always high quality and varied, with choices for the sativa and indica lover alike. It's a tiny place so really a place to score and head out, but it can be quiet and is a nice place to have a smoke before moving on. It's definitely not a hang out place but who cares with their menu.

I just got back from there and the highlights for me:

Apollo 13 (sativa, although DNA do provide an indica seed)
Recon
LA Confidential
Martian Mean Green
Lemon Skunk

MMG and A13 for the day, Recon and/or LA Confidential for late night Oh, and lemon skunk anytime....so tasty....such a nice buzz....an all round winner.

Pros:  The greatest weed ever

This coffeeshop is the best coffeeshop in Amsterdam...the best weed is the LA Confidential...boy does it blow ur mind.The kush 18 is one of my other favorites and u cant forget the chocolope...Barneys do a chocolope haze but it is nothing compared to the chocolope... never smoked the kush berry but i heard its lovely and john's favorite is the martian mean green that i have never tried either so hopefully next time they will have them..LOVE THIS COFFEESHOP.

I don't notice any locals in this shop. It seems to cater to the infrequent visitor. I notice a cue out the door most days so they are doing something right. It is near serveral other quality shops too.

Pros:  American Owned, Best Selection, DNA!!

This is always my first stop when Im in the Dam and for good reason. Always have some of the best fire from the west coast. Martian, Chocolope, And Cannalope haze are in my top ten all time list and at least one of them is always in stock. Cheifs are real chill and always friendly, and playin good tunes. A must visit when overseas!

The Grey Area, although as small as some peoples bathrooms, is hands down the best place to get your herb. Not necessarily the best place to smoke though, SO CROWDED some days.

The menu selection featured MANY organic soil selections, was cured properly, and was straight up CRON. The prices were also fair.

John (think thats his name) is the F'ing man. Always more than happy to answer Q's and has a really positive vibe about him despite the seeming chaos that can happen with 50 people asking for a menu in that small ass shop.

The other thing is that there mexican bubble hash is fucking ingenious. I have contemplated doing the same thing for years. That is, going to some where like Mexico or Jamaica, buying a bunch of landrace and making bubble hash with it there and shipping back. Gotta love the meat grinder finishing touch too! Because of this they have the best priced bubble hash in the Dam.

Also have to love the glass tube selection they keep there. The European custy's couldn't believe their eyes when I was taking ROOR hit after ROOR hit of Blue Cheese with Mexican bubble on top, guess they are used to their spliffs

The other big thing I noticed was that I saw more Dutch shopping there than anywhere else. They would roll up on their bikes, pop in and leave. They know whats up!

This is my favourite place in Dam to buy bud, Always the best selection of strains, tend not to stick around due to the size of the place but always try and stay for one if we can. A+++++++++++

What can you say about the Grey Area. Pretty much two things come to mind...Best weed in town, man its small.

First thing I do when I get to A-dam is bline straight to the breakfast spot near Grey area and wait for them to open. Far and away the best weed for my money everytime. I usaully have to make 2-3 trips during mmy visits.

They just seem to have the best cured pot in all of the city, plus DNA weed is just superior to 90% of what available elsewhere.

Like I said, I get there early so I lockdown a table for several hours which is not an easy thing to do there. You meet lots of real cool people sharing tables...Grey Area is an Amsterdam staple.

I went once early evening.. place was empty! stayed a while needless to say... got stoned and stared at 1000s of cool stickers which decorate the walls...nice theam nice bongs!

No matter what it will always remain the supreme coffeeshop in my eyes!
