Hi folks
Been getting more and more jaded of a certain other site and decided to come hang out here, hopefully it will prove less bothersome! This is a thread to document my breeding work, modest as it is, but I value all feedback from folks so that's why I show this stuff to ya! I've had some issues lately and they have caused me to scale everything back to just a handful of plants and one 250w light. I had to discard most of my treasured mothers - Hashplant, Grapefruitbowl, Zamal x Neville's Haze, Trainwreck, sadly all gone. I decided that two were so precious to me I simply could not kill them off - my El Yucateca Mexican I grew from bagseed I collected in Cancun, 2005 and my Purple Afghan, actually I kept the PA male too, I have plans for him! This is my PA male a while back, he's been cloned many times and is a big bush these days: |

The yellowing was from a minor nute buildup issue, but he recovered fine. To expain why I kept him and why I plan to use him to breed with, let me show you his mother:

So that's the Purple Afghan, and I'm hoping that male will pass on the purple trait, his sacs are green, but his stems are intensely purple, which is the reverse of his mother, which had purple calyxes and green stems:

Those pics were taken a few days ago when the male was at 24 days of 11/13, he started shedding pollen after about 15 days, so he's pretty fast. I dusted the only remaining flowering plants I had with some of his pollen:

As you can see, all 3 sativa ladies are heavily preganant from the encounter with the PA pollen, so before long there will be PA hybrids a plenty! I;m particularly looking forward to the PA x El Yucateca cross as El Yuc is my favourite sativa:

I must point out that I hadn't trimmed any leaves ff her before I took these pics, she just has a truly exceptioanl calyx to leaf ratio:
