PGW, just re-read the title of the thread and coincidentally ran across the "seedsman" original haze. I don't know if that's Sam's stock or not, but my understanding was the The Flying Dutchman was the only place selling seeds made by Sam.

Just flipped 11 different clones with a Haze male 3.5 weeks along. We'll know how this dude crosses by .... next year . Time to sit back and chill...

Sweeet LP! Supposedly.....from what was posted on another board.....Seedsman's O. Haze is also the real deal. I have O. Haze x Sk#1 from Sam going right now. I may see how "hazy" some of these come out. If you only look at the flower time, it's almost pure haze. Anyhow, if they DO seem very much like the haze stock that they come from, I may just use these that are growing now.

Hit me back man, I love "talkin sativa".

I have a couple of those in storage too; looking forward to running them at some point. They remind me--visually--of the Western Winds line (Kali Mist) from Sagarmatha. The smoke reports sound similar too, but that might just be due to their similar sativa make-ups.

Here's one of the more incredible shots I've seen of a Haze/Skunk cross. This was a grow run by Doobie Doo and posted at IC a few years ago; it's Thai Haze x Skunk #1 from Sam.

My haze male is dropping pollen pretty well this morning and stinks to high heaven, much like a high school metal shop (thanks to Tom Hill for that smell reference, I couldn't place it until he wrote that). Got an Urkel and Shishkaberry pollinated well, with more to come.

Holy hell, I've seen trees in peeps front yards that weren't that big!!

Both the Urkel and Shishkaberry crosses sound really interesting. I think you made wise choices there. How far are you planning to take those? Are you gonna do one round of seed, or are you gonna continue to work them through subsequent generations?

I think this set of crosses is more a preservation project than anything else. I want to have the vestige of my favorite mom's in the freezer in case anything ever happens (or just grab them and run to the hills); many of them are indica dominant, which will hopefully mesh well with a (in theory) potent, full-blooded sativa IBL. I'll grow a handful of each out to see if that Haze kick gets passed on by this particular male. My understanding is that the real gems would show up in the F2, and I have a couple in mind to see where that may lead (Purple Urkel and Matanuska Valley Thunderfuck).

The longer term goal is to create a special male that turns everything he touches into an "electric day brightner" (a tough find, but present in DJ Short's Flo line, made dominant through a Haze cross?). This is to see if my haze male can pass the right high. If not, I'm back to sprouting more Original Haze seeds. If he does, check back in 10 years? ...

I'm sure my plans will change next week though, so probably little suspense ... Peace.

Sounds like a good plan to me. Especially the potential for a Matanuska Valley Haze Fuck! That might just be a real ass kicker!

I still have quite a ways to go before my O.Haze x Sk#1 will show any real sex. They're just a wee bit small still.

I was working on an O. Haze x Petrolia Headstash but the PH was crap so I am now using Taskenti. I'm doing the cross both ways. I also dusted a Pure Kush female with O. Haze pollen. Should be a good one.

That sounds great Tobor. Sorry about the PH! I bet that was a real bummer. The Taskenti cross should be badass. I'm currently looking around for a good Lebanese for my cross. I found a decent site that sells it, but they don't ship to my country.....so I'm outta luck at the moment. We'll see though.
