I'm still waking and baking, so please excuse this flurry of half baked ideas

One of the things that I've been working on is a Grow Planner in excel. The idea is to produce a chart of growth phases and dates for each particular plant/strain, to be used by novices or anyone else who wants to be able to see forecast dates...to help with planning.

e.g.

NAME SEED/CLONE PROP VEG FLOWER PURGE HARVEST CURE

White Widow S xxxx xxxx xxxx x xx
dates here.............................................. .................................................. ..........

So, here's the idea: add this kind of functionality into the Grow Calendar here on THCF. The farmer puts in his strain, and then the number of weeks planned for each phase, and then the calendar shows it (with diff colours for each phase). Think of one of those annual leave calendars...or a project plan....each line being a different strain or plant. Could be VERY handy for people with lots of differnet stuff on the go....and nice to be able to see end dates etc.

If this is interesting and useful I could get my mate to code something up...as a standalone app or webapp. Webapp prolly better and safer for paranoias sake...I mean, would you install a grow tracker on your pc? Didn't think so

He's a .net guy...that ok? I'd also send all code to you, rather than have it open source...that way it can be inspected but keeps it closed to prevent evildoers subverting it.

Edit: Oh i see that would be pretty simple actually, i would just need all sorts of info on diffrent strains and shit

Hey logic!
Well i found your site on google by searching marijuana growing forums.
And i have been coding for a few years as a hobby, but just recently got hired on a programming company doing java/php and some small stuff with SAP

Nice one Rocky - what I had in mind was for the farmer to put in the strain info themselves, rather than have to maintain a db of them...much easier that way. So starting out, question would be Seed or Clone, and then a time variable for each of intended time for each phase. You put your starting date in, and then it plots the phases against the calendar date. More sexy functionality could be a checkbox for when the seed or clone has rooted, and then it recalcs the plotted time to completion. Think of it as each farmer's current grow portfolio (for public or private viewing?)...

But as a calendar plugin it should be relatively straightforward I think...but I'm no coder...
