you give rep by clicking on the scale. think your rep says a lot about the validity of users comments. mostly for members new to the site. after awhile i dont see how it matters much because if you are around long enough to gain more rep you should know who's comments are valid and who's full of shit.

I still wonder if the amount of points given are based on the givers rep and if so can an amount be decided or does it just go up as your rep goes up?
