Well i just went to the hydro store and picked up my nutes for this run. I am going to try a mix of different stuff this go around. It is a custom mix I created, lol. The frankenstein blend, I am using GH FloraNova Grow/Bloom with floracious plus, liquid kool bloom, kool bloom powder, cal/mag plus, hygrozyme, root's excel, superthrive, and rhino skin and bud candy from advanced. I got some clearex for my flushes every 2 weeks. I was going to get silica blast but they were all out so I picked up the rhino skin instead. I am like 2 weeks behind you, but I will update my thread and post some more pics when it becomes a little more entertaining. I put 2 of my mothers in my tent this run so the canopy should fill up pretty quick!
Thats whats up Malachi, sounds like you got a nice lil line up goin man. You should think about pickin up some beneficials ta go with that Bud Candy, theyll eat that shit up! And Ive noticed that your root systems go nuts with Myco and all that other good bacteria that I cant pronounce! I been hearin a lot about Great White, supposed ta be like Piranah and Tarantula in one and maybe Voodoo Juice if Im not mistaken but its pretty reasonably priced as well. especially when compared to ANs stuff!
SRH whats happenin, glad ta see ya ridin along with us man. This is my first journal so Im def tryin ta get it poppin in here! But honestly as far as yield goes Im not sure, I def dont wanna jinx myself! This is my first time usin this space and these nutes so I have nothing dialed in at all! But I usually try ta at least shoot for .5 per watt so with 800 watts a pound would be really nice. And as you can tell from the pics Ive got this 2x4 PACKED with plants! So if they all end havin enough room for proper air flow like Im hopin they will I shouldnt have any problem pullin 400 dry. They just keep branchin out like crazy so Ive been in there every day trimmin off branches that I think might cause future crowding problems. I dont like ta do much pruning during flowering but Id hate ta have ta pull out some plants ta make more room ya know. I initially planned growin all these single cola style but when I evened up the canopy the ones that I trimmed started branchin out like crazy. But the last ones I grew the same size and branchy like this they ended up producin over an ounce a piece! So if they have enough room and they produce the same I could end up with close ta 2! But I doubt it, we'll see!
That's funny that you say that chief because I actually just picked up some stuff at my hydro store called Plant Success. I have never heard of it before but my buddy at the hydro store told me he has been using it on his strawberries and it out preforms the voodoo juice. Its an Endo & Ecto Mycorrhizae with Beneficial Bacteria. The cool thing about it is that it comes concentrated and makes 50 gallons for 20 bucks. I am hand watering the beneficial's to my cubes instead of adding it directly to the res. I will do this for the first 3-4 weeks, and then the bud candy can keep them fed.
That is funny shit man, Plant Success is good shit I been usin the granular for years in my soil and coco gardens. It works great in holes outdoor too. Im pretty sure that Great White is made by Plant Success, not sure what the dif between it and the normal stuff is tho. Youll def see an increase in root growth, it seems ta really help w/nute uptake as well.
Winta its good ta see ya in here man, I highly recommend the Choc man. Out of a 6 pack I found this pheno and another great one that Im pretty sure is the same pheno that won the cup in 2008. All 6 females I grew out finished in under 9 weeks and produced really well. Right now Ive got Widow, Satori, Sno Cap, OG Power Plant x Satori and 2 dif phenos of Chocolope and everybody loves the Choc over everything else. Ill throw up some picks from the last grow for ya when I get a chance.
And since early flower pics arent that much fun heres some bud porn from last harvest just ta keep things interesting! These are cuts from my Satori mom, its the sativa pheno. She produces like crazy and has an amazing sour grape flavor/aroma that reminds me of the grape flavor Big League Chew I used ta get at the concession stands at little league games!
These were taken at about 8 weeks I think, she usually finishes around 9-10 wks. Satori tends ta stretch a lil bit so ta keep the canopy even we did some LST, thats why she's doin a corkscrew around the outside edge of the pot.
Oh yea and I got plenty more pics from the last couple harvests and maybe even from my outdoor crop last year so just holler if ya want more!
Well, if that last grow is any indication of your current grow, looks like you're going to do awesome on this one as well.

Winta I highly recommend Satori, I think Mandala is probably the most slept on Seed Co in the game right now. I had a 100% germ rate, with 6 out of 10 seeds ending up female. The genetics were pretty stable as well, small dif in height w/one the produced extremely well but didnt smell as strong as the others. I also had 2 phenos that turned deep purple during the last couple weeks. All their seeds come in 10 packs and only cost like 30-40 bucks depending on where you get em too! I go with Attitude, never had a prob or an order not come (knock on wood!).

Whats happenin MotherHugger, thanks for stoppin by. Yea Ill def keep yall uptdated dont worry, just not too much goin on right now. Ive kept my mouth shut about the AN crap for a long time man, I always mind my business but when it spilled over into my thread I wasnt about ta bite my tongue anymore. Im honeslty not even sure about my opinion as far as ANs quality goes cause this is my first time usin it, but so far Im pretty impressed. I despise people that hate w/out good reason and do nothin but talk shit and spread negativity post after post. I honestly question whether all of us are adults on here ya know! A lot of these guys are either 14 or just extremely childish, some of the things I read on here blow my mind man. But this grow should actually turn out better than the one pictured, my buddy got a place before I did and I couldnt wait any much longer to flower this Choc pheno for the first time. It was his first time growin so I justchecked in on him every few days and made sure things were goin smoothly. He actually did really well, but I couldnt get him ta follow the feeding schedule right and some other small things that you just learn w/time that are hard ta teach ya know. So this run should really show me what this pheno can really do, as good as these last results have been I cant wait ta see what she can do once I get her nice and dialed in!
So like I said as far as updates there's really not much goin on but Ill try! I change the res every tues, which also signifies the start of a new week and being that much closer to havin big stanky ass buds fallin all over the place in my tent! So for the res change the only thing different this week is I stopped using the Bud Blood and added Big Bud, I upped the PPMs from 800 in week 1 to a little over 1000 this week. There was a bunch of sudsy lookin foam in the res last week that had me freakin out, so I started a thread ta get some advice and damn am I glad Im not a noob!!! Somebody actually told me to cut down all my plants and start over cause I have a yeast infection! He told me to tear down everything and disinfect w/a 20% bleach solution and cut my losses! But I talked to AN and my buddy at the shop and found out that Connoiseur actually has a wetting agent in it and Bud Factor X and a few other AN products are notorious for causin foam in the res especially with high DO levels. SO... good thing I know better cuz the foam was normal and has pretty much gone away for now.
For some reason this run my Choc pheno is actually stretchin a little which kinda sucks because I vegged to the height I wanted them since I got very little stretch on the last 2 runs. I think it might be due to the hydro system causin them to grow extremely fast. They also have been bushing out like crazy and I realized that there was no way they would have room ta flower with all those branches. So I went against my rule of no major trimming after 12/12 and did some serious surgery! Ill post some before and after pics but I really think things will go much smoother now and I wont be forced to remove plants later on in the cycle due to over crowding.
I kinda forgot how slow these start off, I thought the Bud Blood and Open Sesame really kick started em but since the first small pistils that popped the 2nd day of flower they havent shot anymore at all. But last 2 runs they were really slow ta start which made me think they were gonna take forever ta mature and then week 5 hit and they went totally nuts! It seems like they do almost all there flower production during week 5 thru 7 and are finished by day 56 at the latest!
But thats about all the excitement we got goin on in Chief G's Teepee right now, sorry no beautiful bud shots yet but soon my children!
Here's some pics of the before and after pics of all the branching. I really got in there and cleaned everything up really well. Got all the little suckers and small branches and took off a few thick secondary branches that looked like they were gonna cause serious over crowding in the future. Those kinda scared me but the girls took it very well and should bounce back fine, Ive been hittin em with some B1 foliar ta help em restart growth again.
If ya cant tell already the first 5 are befores and the last 3 are afters!
