I'm quite puzzled by this. Like a month ago, i've discovered a dark spot just on the base of the plant's stem. Didn't know how to go about it, as a lower branch was dying as a result. Since then, the plant didn't seem to show any trouble, but on asking in another forum i've been told it could be Fusarium, and that's lethal. Fuck. Lethal, just like that. Well, maybe she's not an oak, but looks healthy enough to me. I treated yesterday and today. Yesterday i've applied some sulphur powder. Today i added some copper rust i've got out of an old piece of tube. If i don't kill her, she'll get fatter, that's the technique. Any suggestions for trying to save her from a slow painful death? I'd very much appreciate that, as it's my best plant, a nice thunker from Sam Skunkman and i love her dearly

Thanx for the reply, maybe this other photo just before adding the sulphur and copper is clearer. Anyone seen this before?

it seems as if u do have some sort of rot, what i would do in your case is remove the dead matter,this just causes further rot/mold... why should you be getting mold? i cant say because im not informed on your water regime and how fast she drinks.use hydro rocks on the top of your soil(the clay balls)helps against the problems you are incountering.

I'll throw some arlite, i've got a sack of that. As for animals, cats and dogs also might roam around there, I think I see where you're getting, and will make sure they keep away with repellent. Getting rid of that rotten bit i don't know, this is the base of the stem and it looks like i should slice off half of its width, looks like very deep inside. I'll see how it developes before using the bistoury, anyway, just don't know how to go about it. Thanks again for your help.

I know I'm the nub around here, but would arnimal piss really cause that kind of damage on such a mature plant? Best of luck mate - hope she gets well soon, or it's just a cosmetic thing.

im not sure its just a guess....the thing with furiasm once you have it, then it only gets worse..in this case it seems not be getting worse so then i rule out furiasm......

Thanks, Fastforward, it's still too soon to say anything since i've put the sulphur, but so far today looks very much the same, or else as you say it's just a cosmetic thing.
Midnitghtgardener, thanks again. I don't know if i'm using the correct term with fusarium or if furiasm is a different thing, belonging both to the cathegory of shit on earth doesn't matter much i guess.
I've also noticed ants, spent about one hour checking for this tiny capsules they set on the branches, got a few but not many. Still, lots of ants. Don't want to poison them without a reason and they 'aven't got oil, the little shits. Anyways, thanks three
