You can smoke it shortly after you make it, but you have to press (hard) most of the moisture out. Then take a small chunk and twist it between your fingers....you'll notice moisture working it's way out and your fingers will get damp. Switch hands and keep twisting until no more moisture comes out...you'll notice the hash is now very sticky and pliable. Viola....ready to smoke!

Franti, look at subcools thread on the hashish&processing page it is a sticky. You can tell the difference in elementals pictures the first ones with the drill are more green due to more plant matter=less potent, the wooden spoon method which is detailed in the sticky by subcool will get you the highest quality, again look at elementals second pics with the wooden spoon. much less green plant matter=higher quality. I haven't used the washing machines but I can't justify the expense for a small machine when the wooden spoon method works so great. If I had loads of stuff to turn into bubble I probably would just buy a regular washing machine and get down like that, same concept as these small machines and not much more expensive, but I would only go the machine route if I had loads of outdoor stuff.

Right on folks!

glad to see everyone ready and EAGER to make some pure RESIN from our own stash!

talking about DRILL mixing.............more power/MORE GREEN,more time mixing/MORE GREEN,

the best way its to be GENTLY(hand'WAY),and like i said 12 mins are the best for my first grade,i could reccomend a time max of mixing of 15 mins for every runs, obiviously the final result depend also from the amount of stash you use,and IF YOU USE ENTIRE BUDS OR TRIM...........

lets now talking about my passion,THE DOMES!

as i learned from ALT!

if you use some WET,FROZEN TRIM OR BUDS

you get some CLOUDY DOMES:

Click the image to open in full size.

thats happened because the RESIN is still alive when you start to work,

RESIN'd to be cured properly before extract it,i like to use some dry material, not to much dry,it never EVER become powder when you touch it.........
this is the best reason to work with WET,FROZEN MATERIAL,it makes all more easy,if your stash its too dry you'll get surely some green in your final resin,CURE THE RESIN,NOT DRY TO MUCH THE WEED/TRIM,keep in mind that difference,NOT DRY IT AS YOU DO FOR SMOKE IT AS HERB,CURE THE RESIN!

and you'll see some CLEAR DOMES!

as i said now im with the mini washing machine (BUBBLENOW) waiting to try also the RESINIZER (i need the 220V version)

not to much pics yet but some CRAZY CASEY JONES 90 u its came out from the machine!

love when its BLONDY!

so,GOOD JOB MICHAEL! and keep us posted please!!

good time to all farmers

This is also right,TECHNIC'STUFF is usually expensive, right, from the bags to the machines ecc

but so many homies bought THE REGULAR MACHINES with scary 'results,

moslty of them get some damages inside for the ice'chunks ' work, and if the quality is real LOW you can also see your COLD WATER & PRECIOUS RESIN go AWAY like that:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5EJeFaYjxhw

make your choice,im agree with you to buy a machine when you can use enough material to fill the ZIP-BAG,otherwise go handly with a good piece of wood, also an old stem could be great,

eager to see some bubblings from you also!

My advice on a mixing tool is take the drywall mixer out of the drill and use it to mix by hand in an up and down motion like a butter churn. I added a long wooden handle so I could work standing up, do your work in an empty pail then dump into bags. First run kind of gental looking for just the heads. Second run you can really go for it and beat it up. Full melt comes from the first run.

YEAH! this could be n other good way for get the best grade!butter churn im going to try for sure!thanks for sharing your way BUD and feel free to post your bubblings anytime!

n other good tip could be to use two buckets, one cutted at the bottom (this one it'll be with the bags) and n other bigger bucket for the entire water used to work, seem this is the best way for get the best taste from your resin,WHY?

MORE TIME YOUR RESIN STAY IN WATER,MORE FLAVOR GO AWAY

this is n other good tip from ALT!

a good video can explain EVEN better than my words

There are really so many ways to handle bubble hash and the technique of drying it. A lot of this does actually effect the final product.

I've tried about all the different methods for getting a nice dry product. What I find works best is never using the pressing screens, keeping diligent with a razor blade and pretty much keeping your eyes clued to make the kind of nice healthy chunks mixed with a bit of beautiful sparkle powder. I chop all the most delicate by hand over a few hour period, giving it time then put it into a dark drying area identical to how I would dry freshly cut plants.

use inverted coffee filters to prevent any dust or other airborne nasty bits getting in there while drying.

Best advice is to just start running multiple runs, many many times in a row, you will eventually hit a groove and start finding little ways to pump yield and quality as you go.

I recently started making hash about 2 weeks ago using the 8 bag set up and have been making pretty good hash except I dont get the sticky hash like you have on your pics, the kind that bubbles when you burn it. Mine comes out more like soft clay and it burns more like keef. I'm thinking its the way i dry it and I'm not sure what the best way is. The way im doing it is the way i saw some guy on youtube do it and thats just by pressing each spoonful together in a filter paper or something and letting it dry but i heard that it wont really get all the moisture out doing it like that. If you could help me out that would be great, I just want that stickyness that bubbles with a close flame

I've used 8bag and 4 bag. And recently decided I should ditch the 25, get a 45, and just do the 45, 73, 160....25 never seems worth the pull, and I imagine 45 being closer to smokeable.

Agreed on the wooden spoon method. Lately i found letting sit in the ice water for a while before mixing seems to do well and keep it blond. I let it sit for however long i can forget and then do a good 10-15 min stir then let sit for another 10-15 do the first pull, then add ice, let sit for a while mix for 5-10 then do a second pull. usually the 3rd isnt worth it on yield. Everything has been coming out jelly and blonde even when dried. bueno.

Skip- i usually dry on filters for a day or so, then press flat and freeze to pull out the remaining moisture. Then i just leave it in the freezer til time for use...

Default sticky hash

True Grit- thanks. so when i freeze it i should have it in a container right? And I've also been hearing a lot about the 25 not being so good, I had always thought that the lower the micron the better the hash so I might take your advice on pulling that one out but by doing that will i yield more in the 2nd run with the other bags?
