Default DIGITAL TEMP Controller for $25 /WORKS GREAT...

DIGITAL TEMP Controller for $25 /WORKS GREAT...
DIGITAL temp controller for $25 /WORKS GREAT...
I just bought from Canadian tire a temperate controller for fans or exhaust set-ups as well as many other things.. Its from NOMA and its in the same area of the store as all the other timers indoor and out. The really cool part of it is it can be set up to trigger your 120v fan or heater or air conditioner to either turn "on" once a temp is reached or turn "off".. it can be used for cooling or heating in two different modes. So if its to cold{yeah right} you can have it turn on a heater But the most useful purpose would have to be the setting where if it gets to hot in the room you just set the temp on the unit to turn on you exhaust system at say 78 deg and plug your inline fan into the controller and your done, no wiring no worries. Its very versatile and I am sure you can come up with many uses for both environmental ventilation issues as well as temp controlling hydroponic equipment.. It has its own internal temperature that monitors your room and does all the work of triggering in one simple CHEAP easy package.. $25 Canadian dollars at your local Canadian tire and other places of course I am sure... check out the pick I posted of it.. sorry I already ripped the packaging off of it but this should give you an idea of its size and shape and price...

here is the specs

max.load :125v ac60hz
15 amp / 1875watts resistive
8amp/1000watts tungsten which is much the same as inductive

now I read that HID lights are not to be rated as resistive by the way and should be rated with the inductive rate always as the loads are instantaneous on turn on rather than fluctuate up and down according to use loads , so there consent...

but this temp controller isnt for HID LIGHTS .. its for everything other than lights that are dependent on temps such as air and temp and water temps... I am sure there is uses that I havent even thought of.. cant wait to hear what every one can use this little temp controller for.... it sure is cheaper than hydro store versions at over $100-200.

good luck and please post other great products that can help the average indoor grower...

all I cant tell you is that some stores carry it as I have bought it there and seen it at a few others. it works great and has a cool mode or heat mode so its pretty helpful. it doesnt have an external temp probe but you can always place it at the height you need it or near the place you want it to function at... its actually powerful enough to trigger 1800w and 15amps so you can use it for pretty much anything you want...pretty cheap for the price..

ther is also a nice unit at homehardware thats called a inline fan booster contoller. its a small orange box that is wall mountable and does the same funtions. its 50 bucks but its a bit more ruggednot sure if it has and external probe or not.. but its nice because you can mopunt it on the wall instead of a power bar or wall socket which is a bit safer and cleaner looking..
