Default First Indoor Grow!

Well, I finally decided to move indoors at the spur of the moment this year (well actually, the tent i technically outside, as I don't have space inside my place). I chose to do this because I now only get about 6 hours of outside sun at my location, and my original clone this year (afghan had already started to flower in early June!!!)

So, last night I started flowering in my tent after a week of vegging. I got rid of the 3 bag seeds and will take them to a different location.

I also moved my afghan that's 30 days into flower into my tent (is this a bad move?)

I added a CPU fan that spins up to 100 CFM..hooked it up to an adjustable volt DC to AC converter and then went to lowes and found something that would work as an adapter to ducting (this was a PITA, i figured either the local mircocenter or fry's would have something, microcenter did but only for a 90mm fan, not my big 120mm)

It is exhausting out the top of my tent Click the image to open in full size.

part # from lowes worked out well

Looks like you've done some homework. Your setup looks clean, your plants look happy. Keep up the vigilance and hard work and pretty soon those plants will reward all your hard work. Remember, Patience is your friend.

anyone have any advice on towing these ladies down? I know the Chocolope and G13 are big growers and would like to keep them as short as possible

also, you guys think I should top? I've never done it w/ clones, only from seedling.....i assume I shouldn't see any difference with a clone (but you never know...always better to ask before going OH SHIT!)

thanks mike, any tips for trying to raise it?

I've got a wet towel in there now (will obviously watch out for mold)

Yes!! you should top them when they reach their 4th-6th node, and tie them off to one side. Put a loop of string around the top of your pot and use wire twisty ties that you can buy at home depot in long spools (like twisty ties on bread bags). With this method you can hook your plant with one end of the tie and tuck the other end under the string around your pot. This allows for easy adjustment with the ability to slide and tighten the tie as necessary. When they get more branchy tie down the individual plants. What you want to achieve is a plants that looks opened up like the pedals of a flower when viewing from above. You kindve get a bit of radial symmetry. Tie and top as much as you possibly can to allow light to all of your plants. Any questions feel free to ask and check out my plants for reference...

I love topping and tying...I learned all my techniques at hg420 before they shut down and have adapte my own style of training through experience..

I "supercropped" this morning, first time ever, think I "may" have broke a few sections but finally got the hang of it.

I then tied down with florist wire (metal wire) to one side......will top in the morning

A small pan with some medium sized rocks (river rocks come to mind) and some water in pan may raise your humidity a bit but i don't know about 30%.
I live with humidity and really only concentrate on the removal.
Good luck with the grow and update with pic's the super cropping
