This is a 4 of 5 beer job in my opinion

Using thermal glue, i attached the luxeon's led's in row's to make the array. As you can see the rows are in red and white respectively to allow for the easiest soldering pattern. Since im using a LED driver there is no need for resistors in this setup. Connecting the postive wire from 1 driver i wired in series to all the other red LED's. You can see an example of what this means in the pictures.

I figure this light is about 80 watts of actual lighting. since there are no lumen ratings for running @ 1050 mA on either of the LED's spec sheets i imagine both are types are producing about 100 lumen at this level. I'm expecting to yeild 160-240 grams, though i don't know the strain yet.

Tonight i pick up the babies i will be growing under the light. I will try to update tomorrow with pictures and strain type.

No offense, but i wouldn't buy the UFO light's unless you're sole purpose for the lighting is supplemental. All the grows i've seen with he UFO(limited as they maybe) show it's just not powerful enough to be used as a main light. I think it's lacking some of the spectrum the plants need, and i would guess that it's in the blue side of things.

I realize my array doesn't have blue yet, but the whites should handle things for now and when i upgraded this light next month im putting in a string of blues.

many people like to compare their leds to hid lighting, yet ive never seen a grow that successfully proved them comparable. Whats your views on this?

Ive seen enough UFO grows to know that they work just fine for veg and with 2 of them in a 4 x 4 DR120 grow tent is will be beyond bright in their . @ of the UFO's will run me $800 and I just have to open a box and hang them because I'm one hell of a weed grower but brother I suck at building any and everything .
