Hey there everyone. Since I am new here I'll share with you guys my set up. I've lurked long enough in the shadows and plan to participate primary in THCfarmer.
I hope to get a digital camera soon so I can have better pictures. So in advance - sorry for the cruddy pictures. I have in a room a 6.5'x6.5'x6.5 tent from htgsupply I am running a 1550 btu Air conditioner along with Digital 400watt hps. To cool the lighting I am using the Stanley Fan Mod. In the tent I am using MultiFlow buckets 6 total. I also grow soil to fill in gaps. I know my 400watt is underpowered for the tent. I have a 1k on the way. Just hesitant to use it cause of the magnetic ballast. My room stays stable at 76 Lights off and 78 - 82 Lights on. RH stays stable at 12 - 25 Currently in the room I have my old mum which is GCxJHxTW along with some of her cuts. On the tray in the middle with soil I have some BBxMK going. |

It actually doesn't. I found a decent write up on ic. It details on how the AC works and stuff. By building a box that covers the back and running that 6" duct I am able to pull heated exhaust air out of the room. The side vents are for pulling in Ambient air to cool the coil inside. The air is blown across the coils and heat is exchanged then into the box and out the duct. As for the front of the AC there's the ports where cool air blows out from the ac and then theres the grill that takes in cooled air in that room and recirculates it.
Works well. I can provide the link if you need. ac box h****p://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=95491 Last edited by HolliHerb; 09-27-2008 at 11:25 PM. |

hi h/h,did i read correctly that your relative humidity is between 12-25%..if so thats way too low..ideal r/h is between 45-65%..mine went down to 35% and the leaves closed up into little umbrellas to try to maintain moisture..then again i probably read it wrong

Hey HolliHerb, do you know if the huts by HTG supply kill the plants like the hydro huts did? I know it was because the inside white lining was made from PVC and it put off some kind of gases that would kill the plants.
Other manufactures use PE because of this, that doesnt put off gases. |

The Huts at htg supply does not have that problem.
I think the manufacturing companies know of the issue and has changed their material. I have the small version of my tent as well and that has been running for almost two years. I can't find the link but I will search, They explain everything on that page. If I find it I'll post it here. |

ok here you go.
http://cgi.ebay.com/GROW-TENT-77-x-7...QQcmdZViewItem Thats my tent pretty much, if you scroll down right below the descriptions they state. NOTE: There is NO "gassing off" inherent with GrowBright Grow Tents. Over 1,000 tents sold with no such problems. |
