Hi guys . Not updated this for a while . Things were moving slowly , but she is very sativa dom . And I think the mass load of leaves come from some indica expressing mixed genes with the sativa , not seen many plants like this in my time ... it's not the norm so I like it .
so far the buds smell green and anti skunk like . but floral almost Indian , Colombian sativa smell ... i can tell the splendour of this plant will be evident by the time she finishes . she is just starting to pump resin and fill out ... I wish I had another pheno to compare it to .... Fully organic makes all weird weeds taste nice lol . I really cant wait to try this one . I know the lads have good genes and as a breeder know , that their can be some surprises kicking around in all our genetics ...… She will easily pull 3 to 4 oz when done . Not bad for such a small pot . And organic.... 12/12 from seed no veg |

She's a beauty! How do you feel about pulling fan leaves? My experience is that once flowering is well underway like it is with your girl, pulling pan leaves that blocks budsites will drastically improve yield.
I'd be interested to hear your thoughts.

nomaly this can be the case , but cause of the size of the other leaves i am sure they would just become new fan leaves and make even more . it would be to earlly to pull um at the mo . but i may pull half of one side see what it does . just fo the fun of it . i like to also see its tu structure ...

hey progrow . was talking about taking fan leaves of buds in full flower to commercial grower buddy , he said that alot of rot comes from people pulling fan leaves and leaves in general from plants that are in peek flower ... he said . wich does make sense to me . that when you pull the leaf , water oozes out where the leaf has been pulled , i am sure you agree , we get a wet feeling when we touch the stem after the leaf has been removed . he said this is what can lead to alot of rot in plants with big buds .... he even said mold spors can develop from these even if the leaf came from the stem below the main set of buds, not from the main cola ..... this did happen to a mate last year . he was three or 4 weeks from harvest and ripped alot of leaves from the plants and got alot of rot where the leaves had been ..... what you think on this mate . |

As for how much water oozes out when one pulls a leaf, all I ever get is just a slight wetness on my finger. A half-hour later, that leaf-stem is dry again. I have no idea what their humidity is in their growrooms, or what strains they're running, but to be honest with you, I can't see the correlation between pulling a bunch of leaves and getting budrot. Don't get me wrong GB, I'm not trying to say anything bad about anyone, just that I thnk their budrot had to have been caused by another factor, not pulling leaves.

Hmmmm what about the dead yellow crisp leaves you get in fat collas that sometimes go mank ive always pulled them out and my rot stoped !!!!! i to strip the hell out of my plants with no ill affects bro but i do worry sometimes coz when i got a full room like now i get aot of moisture on leaves if there touching each other like its been trapped between the two leaves so this made me take em off kind of damed if you do and damed if ya dont lol i dont think i will see mould again coz it knows i have a anti tank missle ozone spour distroyer Last edited by SENSI ZYM; 11-30-2008 at 08:04 PM. |
