Default Breeding facilities used by Tropical Seeds Co

Hi!

Wanted to show some general pics of the greenhouses we used for breeding and selecting between so so many varied seeds.A total of 1200 m2 we used for a good time

Will try also to get some of the big plants that filled this space.

Peace

Very nice, great to see people working outdoors with a decent sized space, becoming too rare for breeders to work this way these days!

wow...that IS nice!! Would definitely love to have something like that. Dunno what to say man...its huge. How many varieties are in there and how are you pollinating that area?

Hey ! Hi all

Thanks all for posting with kind words hehe;BH,RJ,Mr.CN,Dr.CM,CKTRavel,Ripz

As you say BH,each day is more and more rare and difficult to see people working in places and with a space like that. Its normal knowing the restrictive laws of many places.
But its not only for that....many little seed banks/producers (in breeding structures, not in volume of seeds sold lol) base their philosophy and efforts in marketing and "nice colors" and impresive budshots more than in the real part of getting some nice stuff. The "easy way"...

Talking about the number of strains that where inside its a bit difficult now,Iĺl try to put a list of things grown there when I get home hehe, but always full of lot of asiatic, african and american strains in that order
To pollinate and having all those strains first we should have the head quite clear and thought before how and what strains would go in every period of time. For me its impossible to make it without passing it to paper, thing I do very often to trying to have everything well structured.
Males where also put in once all this was structured and knowing what crosses we wanted to make. There was time for OTs Haze males,Nepalese,Ciskei,Afghan,Chitral, etc. We have antipollen screens where they were put.Everything had to match in time to get seeds and the majority of times went fine.As I say,one time for each male and matching flower times so seeds could form and mature well.

I bringing some Thai plant pics in the greenhouses in a sec !

Peace

Thais in full splendor, so massive things. I think i've read somewhere from the Skunkman that after looking over and over for a special thai, most of them where equally special, if that makes any sense, meaning it was difficult to choose a mother from one batch of seeds. Ive only planted the Thunk, but i'd followed other people's posts on thais and came to the arguable conclusion that they don't have a pre-determined structure, they just grow like flies fly, hehe, the twisted lil' fucks. Dr Aeros, what to say, simply beautiful job all the way, with a greenhouse like that, who needs a world outside?

Hi all !

7R...Interesting words on Thai plants.I love and hate them.I´ve smoked some nice thai herb but always had to get off the seeds I found, didnt find hermi free plants yet and I´m a bit in dispair with them, also with others asiatic girls near Thai zone.Hope to find something nice and hermi free in the future because the high and quality on Thais are very nice!
Also hope to get more GH´s in the future hehe.

Ripz....thanks for your words mate
Be free to ask hehe. Many on the pics shown here are from first stages of selections coming from seeds of wild ladraces plants,so imagine how big can they get to grow with good (I´d say in our case, very good) climate and in greenhouses. It was a it crazy to grow them so big but had to know how they develop till the end,so the first times, and also some more in advance, plants had big sizes. But we tend to make smaller plants once done the first works, but including small clones sometimes got quite big.In pure indicas things changed a lot as you can imagine.
As many of the plants were grown in pots to trying controlling their size (and because of difficulties for working the soil),they could be move to the male zones that were demarcated with the antipollen screens.Normally there were free/open pollinizations with various males/females.Also we guard pollen in the fridge/freezer from each male to test individually how they worked in the crosses watching the descendants. For each time and circuntances the work was different and more complete that what I´ve left you in this words, but mainly the thing worked like this.

Peace
