Hi !

Well,it was time to start talking a bit on this Nepalese strain we´ve worked and that we´ll continue working.

This strain came to us from CBG so we´ll we working some hybrids with it,wont be releasing the pure form of the strain.

As said, this strain origins start in the 70s-80s when it was collected right from the country, with the time it went to Reeferman´s hands, then CBG,and then to us.

We´ve been breeding and working with it for a time now. We´ve done big selections trying to keep away the hermi trait we found at the beggining in lots of plants. The plants werent full of male flowers, but some few and hidden ones gave lots of problems and were cut down quick many times. So once done this and beeing selecting the best females/males during 3 inbreeding generations we´ve got the Nepalese strain to the way we wanted, with it´s own personality after this time.

The result is a 60-70 days flowering highland sativa,so a fast sativa that it´s also strong, very vigorous, and hardy plant that resists very well to the majority of pest and extreme climates. The plant size is medium and kinda small for a sativa. It´s a branchy one but with short branches (indoor) that envolve the final total production to a small size, beeing perfect for indoor for this aspect. In outdoor they grow up very fast and the branches get larger, getting some final large collas of high quality and good yield.

The buds are nice in smell and end up beeing quite hard.Good calix to leaf ratio.Lots of resin cover the buds, that will increase if one more week is given to end up flower time from its normal times around 60-65 days. The smell on buds varie from floral plus spicy touches to citrus and some more sweety ones.

The effect is strong, good potency in this strain. It gets to be euforic and afect to mind and body, beeing uplifting first and then the corporal/physical effect shows up and can be noticed.Longlasting and potent.

Hope to be bringing some more info on Nepal in some time

I´ll go on now bringing some pics !

As said before, this is a "work strain" we´ll be using to create our new strains, but we wanted to be showing it to all of you so you can go on knowing how it develops.

Peace

The reason its "small for a sativa" is that its been inbred through 12 generations prior to cbg getting it .
The line you have was selected from only 10 seeds .

Hi reef

I've been searching for a good highland sativa from Nepal for many, many years, this is because I absolutely adore Nepalese hash and I want to make my own, but I've never found a good one and I've tried a few, Blue Hemp's Nepali was the last one I tried, it didn't like growing indoors at all.

I've grown a few batches of wild Nepali seed over the years that friends have brought back after going there on holiday and I've always found the same thing - they were either wild, uncontrollable sativas that didn't work indoors at all or indicas, and as it's only the sativas I'm interested, it's frustrating!

So reef, did you have to do a lot of selection and inbreeding to this line to create something manageable for the average grower? Just wondering cos a friend is off to Nepal again soon and I'm debating whether to get him to bring some seeds back again, if a lot of work would be needed before they would be worthwhile for an indoor grower, I'll pass.

Also, many years ago, a friend of a friend grew some seeds of yours and i got to smoke some and it was one of the best sativas I've tried, he said it was Acapulco Gold x Highland Nepalese, was he correct, did you make such a cross? If so, is this the Nepali you used?

Hi !

Hey RM...nice to see and read you again!
Well, thanks for the info on the Nepalese and it´s first works.I´m happy we still found a lot of variation in the seeds we got and not only all small sativas, there was much to see and to choose during the selections we did in the begining, and we´ve been always enjoying the work on this strain as with not much others.
Will be looking what you go on posting in the THCF,once more, happy to see you around.

Peace
