Just got a second hand Vortex and i've been using the Progress Earth 4 part tea formula which includes 2 tablespoons/30ml of their "Earth Kelp" shit for every five gallons of tea.

My ladies look good after a couple weeks of using the tea but I am noticing the leaf stems are extra long. Strange.

I read somewhere that too much kelp reduces flower mass.

Anyone?

I picked up some liquid seaweed and just fed my first dose, 1TBS in 2 gallons. I'm on my first week of flower, but plants have pre-flowered.

fungus like the tricoderma in coco love kelp

So Im guessing kelp toxicity can decrease yield but I'm not familiar with what that looks like
I friend in the commercial nursery business gave me a 40lb bag of kelp powder a few years ago.
ive used like 20 lbs of it so far,,,lol
When I frist got it, I poured some of the powder on the lawn to see if it would burn it...
Didn't hurt it a bit.

So, No one can confirm smaller yields for too much kelp?

I think a read a post by @Capulator saying something about using less K on coookies?

So nice you did good with those...how did the insides look were they the same shade of green of outside or a few shades lighter?

Just a guess but I'm thinking the scenarios in which ther is k or kelp toxicity it was an imbalance ......too much k only because there wasn't enough root space or not enough air exchange and light or. There's alesy the imbalance in other nutrients necessary to break down that kelp or fungus to eat the kelp

Those buds were so fat and dense, there were really pale green parts deep inside.
what you say makes sense...I dont know what To much K looks like..@Seamaiden could probably tell us though

It's used ALLOT in the Nectar For the Gods line, ascophyllum nodosum to be exact and it's in at least 2 bottles that I know of, one being the Bloom Kaos which kicks them into flower quicker and promotes tighter nodes. That being said, too much of anything can be harmful.... The key is finding the right balance of nutrients.

Well the high ph it can create can lockout the lil bit of N that's needed in the end

It's tough I Like too be a lil more green but not too dark green when I cut down cuz in my cure I lose acouple shades of green it's a huge observational balanceing act abd one that changes constantly cuz each plant is so unique

Now that I heard myself say that k toxicity can appear Like a too dark of green in fan leaves
