Walked through a local nursery today and accidentally happened upon the new version of Clearex.
Upon looking at the back label it states that the only active ingredient is .4% citric acid
yup.....very sad
So to make the same concentration....
To 1000ml of water add 4 grams of citric acid. Shake like hell and laugh hysterically at the money you just saved.
Or simply run plain water at the end like most of us do -BB
Beware though that this recipe has no preservatives so you will have to either keep it in the refrigerator or mix it as you need it and dump what you do not use.
On ebay you can get 2oz of food grade citric acid for 4 dollars including shipping...enough to make 14 liters of "Clearex"
