You'd probably be good with any strong, outdoor strain. Here is a list with some ideas for you (NL is included): https://zenpype.com/top-10-outdoor-marijuana-strains/

Please pay no attention to that link. Most of those strains would fail miserably in northern Ontario
I'm in the same boat. Looking for recommendations on a good early strain for northern Ontario. Would have to be pulled by early September, mould and frost resistant. Would help if deer and rabbits dont eat it but I'll rely on hair and scoot to help with that lol. TIA

Purple Kush does very good here in Ontario. Grown outdoors last 6 years, finish early to mid Sept. Nice trips plant outdoors.

Check out PeakseedsBC, they have some excellent outdoor crosses. Their NL/timewarp cross is very nice and does really well outdoors in the North Country. Their entire Timewarp cross lineup is made specifically for outdoor growing in Canada. They grow very nice smelling and tasting plants that finish anywhere from early september to early October depending on strain. And that's actually finished, not just when you could take them and get away with it.

I'm not sure we're talking about the same place. PeakseedsBC is a highly regarded breeder who has top shelf genetics and a pretty limited selection of proven varieties. He does have some other stuff that's not on the website sometimes though, and is easy to contact by email to see if there is anything else available. But what he has is legit, and very high quality.

Peakseeds, without the BC after it has been known to rip people off quite a bit I've heard. I'm not familiar with them other than bad stories and a rumor I heard that they originally set up to try and lure people in who were trying to find the real peakseedsBC. And then scam them.

I would recommend an Indica based strain, as they tend to grow a little quicker and finish earlier. I'm not too far away, and Sativa is just about impossible to grow totally outdoors because of the weather near Erie. Grandaddy Purple was always a robust plant with nice buds and it grew pretty quickly. An auto strain might not be a bad option, as they are easier to flower early, which you will need. With daylight hours getting pretty long up your way during the summer, you need to be careful if moving plants outside from starting inside... revegging can be a real problem when you are getting 18 hours of daylight! The Auto strains originated in northern climates from the Ruderalis strain/species, which had a very short growing season.

I grew a pheno of time warp for almost 7 years, I must say not only was that plant mold resistant and bugs didn’t want it but it could practically handle snow weather without any issues . yields were good and since it was a 95% no loss kind of plant . All you need to do is grow good bushes lol

Con was it was has zero terps but pine and earth ( not a bad thing ) I would also say is a 10-15% thc strain. Still for such a guarantee profit and huge cola’s OD plant . May be the route

check out texada timewarp ( I ran tons of genetics and still kept that one as my go to yielder for outdoors for like 7 years ) didn’t become a legend for it’s taste, it was for it’s growing ability and quick harvest ( 45-60 days )
September. 20-30

Yup, Texada timewarp is a locally bred strain and exactly as you described. Mike from PeakseedsBC has been breeding with it to produce plants that finish early and have all the vigor and mold resistance of timewarp, with more Terps by crossing it with tastier strains. They're perfect for outdoor in Canada.

Nice, most of my buddies have cuts of the original clone only version from Texada island but a few people around here have been breeding with it. Finding people with seeds or males isnt all that hard here either. Timewarp and Mighty mite are legends around the gulf islands but nobody around here likes the smoke much on their own. Like BH said they're just kept because they're so foolproof and reliable early finishers, but they make excellent breeding stock for crossing with other strains to finish early. Seaweed is another decent outdoor, or seawarp which is what a lot of outdoor growers grow these days up in the interior.
