Hi, im running canna atm and didn't want to buy their boost as its expensive so I'm getting sumo active boost by shogun fertilisers. Triacontanol is one of the ingredients but I'm a bit weary about using now as triacontanol is basically a pgr.. What's your thoughts on triacontanol?

There are 2 types of pgrs out there. The good, naturally occuring ones, like triacontanol found in naturally in alfalfa. The bad ones are the ones that have been synthetically made, like paclobutrazol. Using triacontanol in mid to late flower will cause a lot of fox tails so that is something to look for. Pgrs have gotten a bad name due to all the synthetic ones made that are almost all bad for your health. Many carcinogens found. Best of luck.

You'd have to not use any kelp, rooting hormones, yeast, almost any booster product to be totally pgr free. Like anything there are good and bad, effective and not effective ones. I can say that growing with just nutrients is rewarding and a great learning experience, but in no way are you affecting the experience in a profound way by using natural bio stimulants and pgrs. Tria is no big deal, although i always recommend testing everything before using it a second time. Just trusting you'll notice is how you become one of those been growing for 10 years but no nothing type of gardeners. Dont be one of those gardeners.

Thanks for that. I understand now haha. Would you just say to use that until week 5? Don't really want fox tails lol

After doing some research yes your right. I was completely unaware that pgrs are in a lot of things and they've got a bad name. I'm gonna be switching to jacks after this run anyway. I'm done with liquid nutes
