This is my 3rd grow, previous two were years back and I wanted to take a more professional approach to this one.

I only vegged these babies for 5 weeks and transitioned them to flower in the middle of the 5th week.

Containers: 10 3gal fabric pots (5 black, 5 tan)
Medium: coco coir: two bricks- one GH Coco Tek and one Viagrow Coco Coir broken down and rinsed thoroughly, mixed at 70/30% ratio w perlite
Nutrients and enzymes:
GH Flora series + CALiMAGic + Cannazym
Feed schedule: fed one every few days at the beginning, increased frequency by look of plants until everyday feeding w/ around 1.0 EC + nutes, just started feeding Cannazym once a week. Using a nutrient schedule I found on growweedeasy.com for Coco DTW.
https://www.growweedeasy.com/sites/growweedeasy.com/files/coco-coir-flora-series-schedule.pdf

I’m using the early flower solution rn which is 1/2 tsp FloraMicro Bloom and Calimagic and 1/4 tsp FloraGro per gallon. Also adding 5ml Cannazym per gallon once a week (just implemented, first time was today)

I didn’t charge my coco with nutes before planting <~beginner mistake lol. So I had to supplement calcium early on. Had spotting on some fan leaves, more calimagic cleared it up.

Strains (10 plants):4 Green Crack
1 Tangerine Dream
1 Acapulco Gold (Barney’s farm)
1 Hashchis Berry
1 Bubblegum
1 Lemon Skunk
1 C99

Link to problems I had early on in my grow: burnt seedlings (light too close, too many lumens) https://www.thcfarmer.com/community/threads/brown-tips-on-2-day-old-seedlings.95226/

They are 8 days into flower now.
Sog 10 plants in a 4x4

Here’s my tent setup, iPower fan, Optic 6ish grow light (ordered from manuf. in China for a discount) 6 COBs and supplemental red and blue diodes. I had to open it up and unplug some one of the COBs early in veg in order to have the light close enough since it wasn’t dimmable. Worked out well though except for the extra labor.

Just a question not a judgment at all because with my history I wouldn't have the right.

Isn't a 4x4 kind of small for a 10 scrog? I was under the impression that A scrog was to even the canopy but to take advantage of using fewer plants. It's amazing how many different opinions there are. I was told 6 were to many for a 5x5 and this is way more than that.

Just want to know what the facts are instead of alternate facts

You can put 36 plants in a 4x4 and 49 in a 5x5. I have 25 in roughly a 4x4 spot now.
Sogs are many little..scrog is few large workin it/them in a screen. Personally i hate veg times and give zero fucks about anyones plant counts hahaha

Yeah SOG can be done with many small plants or a few less medium sized ones. Depending on if you go from clone, from seed and how long you veg each, there are many different options. There is some truth in cloning being great for SOG because you can control plant height more. Even though most of my seedlings popped up on the same day (7/10) and the rest the next day, there are a lot of different heights in my tent because I didn’t LST the taller ones before flower. The difference in the plants was mere inches in veg but translated to vastly different heights in flower after they started the ‘flowering stretch.’ Even plants of the same strain stretch vastly different amounts plant to plant.

Evidence:

Two green crack plants in the back left corner won’t stop stretching and the other (bottom middle, darker green) won’t stretch at all.

I’ve even got the shorter one elevated. There’s another good solution to keep the canopy even: elevate shorter plants.

What’d I cut off? Lowest fan leaves and bud sites that weren’t getting light, mostly larf sites at the bottom:

I did this to prevent two things: mold and pests: airflow through the canopy = no mold and pests (I’ve heard) like to hide under the lower leaves? Idk but sounds logical. Lol.
