Max Ppm In Flower?

So I am trying to get a concrete answer on what the top end of dissolved solids in my RWDC system should be. I've pushed them up to 2500 ppm and they didn't burn, but that almost seems a tad excessive. I backed them down to 2200 and they seem to be enjoying it, but if I can force feed them with more nutes, I don't mind doing that. Obviously, I dont want to burn them though. Just wondering what some of you hydro guys think about the "high" ppm for flower idea. Thanks for the help.

I'm a complete noob but will offer my opinion that should be verified before accepting. ppm can be a little deceiving, EC is probably a better way to give or get more accurate info. A PPM meter measures EC and converts to ppm at differing conversion rates. Depending on the type of PPM meter you have this could be anywhere from 1EC = 500 ppm to 1EC =700ppm. Most here will use the conversion of 1EC = 500ppm since that is the general standard for the U.S. This is easy to find out if you have a meter that will show you EC and PPM. So you can see this makes a huge difference.

Without knowing your growing conditions, TBH I think 2200ppm is very high and would make me think your meter might be out of calibration if you are seeing no ill effects at this level. When was the last time you checked it for accuracy?

Yes most decent meters will have an auto adjustment for temp.

Growing cells for big biopharm. If it’s going into the human body or being made into somthing that’s going to be injected Into the human body it has to be cleeeaaaan! But that’s just the pure water. My Water for injection is even cleaner, and is kept at 80deg C and circulating 24/7 to ensure it is clean and nothing can grow. The water is so clean that if you drank it, it would pull minerals out of your body

Don’t get so hung up on numbers, get to know your girls, instead of trying to figure out how hard you can pound them.

Agree 50% and disagree 50%.

!00% the best way to tell is read the plants as RR1 says if they are healthy and PPM is dropping with water consumption then up nutes, if ppm is close to the same your good, if your ppm is increasing your feeding to much. But to say forget that shit is not something I would advise when asking for info from others on a measurable scale. It's important to provide accurate information for others to help you and if you report numbers that are inaccurate then the feedback you get will likely not help you. I stand by my statement that i think your ppm meter is out of calibration based on next to 0 information provided on the setup to give the slightest idea of what your rate of transpiration/nutrient uptake would be. I don't think its likely at 2200-2500ppm you are seeing no ill effects if you are getting an accurate ppm reading.
