Hey Everyone!

So I've been on a mission to find a 1000W cmh bulb. I finally found one that doesn't burn out after a few weeks. I'm not here to name drop the company or anything like that. I'm not going to speak about my experience once I get it all set up. But I ordered a complete kit so it came with the fixture, bulb, remote, power cord, hangers etc.

The bulb is a double jacket DE 1000W CMH 3100K it looks really nice. Even though we all know looks of bulbs and fixtures doesn't grow quality cannabis but just saying it looks good.

I'll post some photos of it in a few and just wanted to let everyone know that I'll be reviewing it once I see what she can do. As I said before I won't be saying who made it cause I frown upon paid reviews. So we shall see. I'll keep everyone updated :)

Yeah once I see some positive results I'll let everyone know who made it. I just didn't want to come off as that guy who name drops.

btw, I paid after tax and everything around $655.00 free shipping which was nice. Got it in two days. I wasn't upset with the price point at all considering I didn't really have anything to compare it too. I heard rumors of other brands coming out with there units and the price point started with a 7 so I'm ok right now with what I paid. Just in case anyone was wondering.

1000w work with 2x 450w TOTO burner, surely the lifespan will short. I don't know that ballast is LF or HF, so far as I know, there is no stable low frequency 1000w ballast on the market, high frequency ballast has the risk to crack the bulb.

315W CMH is reliable bulb, don't buy those 3x 315w or 2x450w DE types, first , not reliable, second, no suitable ballast to work with.

BTY, seldom company can pass FCC in China, and seldom ballast company has UL&CUL, most of manufacturers only have ETL. So with FCC and UL,CUL logo on the ballast, it's just kidding, most of US distributors like to purchase cheap quality items to fool endusers.

This is why I'm just testing it out to see if it's even worth it. I requested the actual UL cert number so I can search it in the database and it came back with the appropriate information. Normally I never believe anything that's written on a box. I always ask for documents supporting said information.

It's a LF ballast so time will tell if it even last and I agree I have yet to see a stable LF for this 1000W.

Since this is so new I'm expecting the lifespan of the bulb to be around 6-8 months or so. I'd be surprised if it lasted longer. But of course, as tech becomes better that will increase over time (I hope)

The reson i want to go a 1000 is for simplicity of just one fixture.315s.they are dear where i am .to effectively cover a small 5x5 properly you need 3 or 4 ideally? .you need 3 to compete with an 1000hps.i really want to run the 315s but it comes down to cost for me.good 315s are around 700 bills in my neck of the woods ..if ibuy 3 theres 2100 + one i need in veg..having just one in flower room keeps it more simple for me..damn its looking like i might aswell just get the friggen hps or look in the states to purchase, but i dont want to leave a paper trail...fuckedifiknow..lol.

He makes bulbs. In China. Stick with the 315s, multiple light points make for better light penetration anyway

If he makes bulbs I'll def take his words into my overall review. I'm just trying to find a nice solution at this level off wattage for CMH. I'm in no way a bulb maker or anything like that. So in time we will see. Def a great discussion to have.

To be perfectly honest bro I’d just stick w the HPS anyhow. CMH are fantastic veg lights or supplemental to HPS but if you do well w HPS you will be disappointed ,as I was. Selling most of my cmh going back to gavitas, very expensive learning lesson

Haha I know the feeling. I’d say LED or HPS is your best bet especially if you payin out the ass for cmh specifically. You been on alibaba? They have all the Chinese lights hella cheap.

If you’re in aus shipping from China might be reasonable. Have a look on alibaba they’ve got the sunplix 1000w cmh fixtures the nanolux 1k cmh lots of different led and HPS options too. Most items have a minimum purchase number but there are some that will ship a single fixture you’ll just have to look around
