Twisted leaves
New to growing and am using an organic soil mix. Serious Black strain. The plant was growing nicely the all of a sudden the leaves started to bend. Does anyone know what it could be, i started fertilizing a few days ago with fox farms trio. Help!

Ok so basically we found a seed and put it in our backyard. It grew really well for a while. Then we decided to pot it using kellogg organic plus soil. The plant is mostly outside. It has never been rained on or got leaves wet. I figured maybe it has a nutrient deficiency since its been warm out. So i bought the fox farms trio to help. Sould i use different soil?

How often are you watering it? Are you allowing the soil to dry out some between watering? Are you keeping it in full sunlight or shade? Reason I ask is the node spacing seems far apart and the stalk is very thin and flimsy.

My guess is you hit it with ferts too soon. You panicked when you seen the nute lockout from over watering and that made the soil toxic.

If you have a hydro shop nearby I’d grab some organic soil, and repot it. Remove as much of the soil as you can and transplant it into the new soil and let the roots dry out some and hopefully you’ll start seeing some new growth in a week or so. Otherwise it looks like it’s going to die.

Also, it looks like it might be buggy. Some of the Kellog Mix is no good. It has a lot of wood chips and bark which will rob nitrogen. Just like JWM2 says, I'd get it in a good organic mix. I'd use Canadian peat moss and earthworm castings, some perlite, and a little compost as an easy soil mix. If it doesn't come back with that it's not coming back. If it doesn't make it don't worry. Seeds are pretty easy to get so just start over using a good soil mix. If you start off right with a good mix your plant will barely need you. You'll just need to add water and leave it in a sunny place.

Thank you guys so much!! I will give it a try for sure with some new soil. What do you recommend as far as how often to water it?

Yeah I don’t have any experience with that soil but googled it and the reviews were not kind. Im guessing the soil is his biggest enemy at this point as well.

No problem. We’ll help as much as we can. Like Rcubed said if you start with good soil you won’t need to do much. Definitely do not feed her again until she’s fully bounced back. I was going to say that you might want to toss that plant but I didn’t want to sound mean. Glad I wasn’t the first to mention it. However there’s a chance you can get her back on track, just hope she doesn’t turn out to be a he, lol ;-)

Depends on how big of a pot you use. Small pots need more frequent water because they dry out faster. I would use at least 5 gallon pots. Right now I'm using 25 gallon soft pots. You can water those less. Just check the soil. If it's still moist leave it alone. If it's getting dry water it.
