I just wana see H&G Aqua Flakes Bloom formula and I'll be stoked.

Sure Talksalot....sounds like you know/ are the H&G folks, hit them up to import it and I'm sure it will rock in the UC and Daniel and his staff will recommend it all day as they have already to so many to date.

BTW, welcome to the Farm ;)

Unless I'm mistaken excess N hinders the uptake of K....which as JK stated is king in bloom....that's a problem IMO

Looking at the H&G chart you reduce the amounts of basic nutes when you run shooting powder (P&K) for the last few weeks. Seems like the ratios of N P & K would be fine then. It worked really well for me on my last grow but it was ebb & flow so things may be different for a UC system.

Nitrogen seems to be far more available given the aeration and water movement in the UC....it may take MOAB instead of shooting powder or some other 0-XX-XX solution to help offset the high N availability caused by the combo of UC and H&G.

Dunno.

I REALLY like what shooting powder and bud xl do to my buds. Adding those to my line up (used liquid kool bloom and kushy kush once with similar but not as good of results) made buds as big as a baby's forearm and almost hard enough to drive a nail with. I saw about a 30% jump in yield. If I could replicate that quality and get the benefits of rapid growth that I've seen in successful UC grows I'd be all over it.

MOAB sounds like it's much like shooting powder. I'm not experienced enough to be the first penguin off of the ice in trying it out if and when I get a UC system. I'm hoping some other folks have taken that gamble and won and want to pass on the info.:)

MOAB is similar to the Shooting powder...Just a bit heavier in the P and K.....and a lot cheaper.......Cleaner tasting results with Shooting powder............As long as your PPMs are in the right range, (800-1000 is usually a safe range for all strains) You shouldn't be afraid to try any late bloom booster....I think they are an essential additive in the late bloom phase.......Different strains sometimes like different enhancers......It's cool to find your recipe through trial and error........Fun stuff.........Peace

hydroponics is hydroponics ....unless ur runnin coco or aero ....the nute recipe shouldn't change too much....I like the blue bucket system...how bout you?

Idk what is worse, your misinformation or your ernest attempt to help the community grow with it....

DUTCHMASTER GOLD - ZONE, Botanicare Calmag, DM A&B for veg - had ph flucts very rarely, and mostly due to them eating up ppms i think.

Yes I have but it's not a half dose you only want to cut part A by about 20-30% starting at about week 3 1/2 of bloom. Hope that helps.

Attention fellow Farmers.

1) Looking to start a dialog to help deal with the issues caused by the excess of N in the Aqua Flakes. I realize they recommend additives to manipulate the ratios but there still seems to be issues with excessive leaf tissue growth during bloom.

Though this may be tolerable for different methods it really seems to be a problem in UC grows given the enhanced availability of the nute solution...I guess? Big, lush veg plants give me warm fuzzies to look at, but every grower is looking for well developed spears of Shiva, Kush, Affy, etc.

2) As of late especially, pH fluctuations seem to be the norm more so than an occasional hiccup. I personally struggled with the pH enough that I kicked the Flakes to the curb. The pH yoyo game might sound fun to pre schoolers but if you grow meds it sucks.

3) Why isn't there a Aqua Flakes Bloom....seems like a silly question to have to ask but apparently it needs to be addressed?

All input is appreciated as the Aqua Flakes are used by lots of growers and we need to determine whether or not it's compatible with the UC. Like I'd mentioned in another thread, the cats at CC have paused recommending it based on the frequency of people having issues with it.

Farmers please chime in.
I’m getting pH rise from 5.8 to 7 everyday even with pH+ stabil in it , their only nutrient that’s good it’s roots excelurator, their a+b is making too many leaves in flower. Not happy especially when their products are more expensive and aren’t formulated for bloom. Dumb Liers at hydro shops saying it’s ok to use in flower. I’ve been growing DWC for 7 years , green planet is good , H&G no goods
