That might also be a problem. I was reading how freezing fractures the chlorophyll cells and can lead to green color and poor taste. I always kept mine in the freezer also but now I just keep it in the fridge before using.

Damn, nice idea. I have used the rigid CPVC pipe and cut the T-connectors to fit over the poles but it's only good for light weight or short spans. I definitely like your conduit idea better. Beer's on me. :)
