    Uk Compost Choice

I will give BioBizz All Mix a go. I'll start them with seed sowing compost in small pots for the first couple of weeks then transition to the All Mix in 11 L pots. As I understand it, I can likely do the whole grow (autos) with minimal or no additional fertiliser. Perhaps just at flowering...

Easiest Soil Mix For The Beginner?

Are there any other pre-mixed soils that will work well "from the bag"? I've read mixed things about some of them. I'm currently looking for pretty much the same thing as the OP. I want to keep it simple so if I can get everything one bag, maybe just adding some Perlite or similar, that would...

    Uk Compost Choice

Right: the mix I used was roughly 50:50 of these two -- https://www.homebase.co.uk/westland-bulb-planting-compost-20l_p431147 https://www.homebase.co.uk/gro-sure-all-purpose-compost-with-4-month-feed-40l_p386358 Plus perlite (~1.8 L in an 11L pot). I'll look on the organic forum too, but I...

    Uk Compost Choice

I was thinking of just adding a good deal of Perlite to thin out the compost. I will look later today exactly what I tried this time around and post back. I have Northern Lights and Shiva Skunk in the tent. The mix I used this time has screwed the NL and I don't think I'll get much from them...

    Uk Compost Choice

Do you have some Canna Terra Vega, but frankly I'd prefer to have the soil be rich enough not to need much fertilising. Last grow I mixed about 30% to 50% nutrient-supplemented fertiliser with some regular compost and this fucked everything up. Do you have a specific recommendation for "rich...

    Uk Compost Choice

Hello, I made a bad compost choice (it was hot) in my first UK indoor grow and I don't want to repeat the error. This time I'm thinking of growing in John Innes seed sowing compost () and Perlite. The composted is listed as having a neutral pH and low nutrient content, so that sounds good to...

Leaf Edges Starting To Turn Yellow

"electric green" on dark green is a very clear description. I'm impressed you saw that from the photos: I only noticed it after going to the plants. I think the plants are looking healthier since I dialled back the water. I guess they'll make it, albeit with reduced yields. I'll learn to not use...

Leaf Edges Starting To Turn Yellow

Then again, if indeed this is a problem caused by over-watering and use of 50/50 RO/tap water, it may resolve itself once I dial back the water and switch to 100% tap water.

Leaf Edges Starting To Turn Yellow

I discovered that's a hydro fertilizer as it has a pH of 5.0. So I'll not use it. I have nothing on hand that's low N and higher P and K. So anything you happen to suggest would be great.

    Is This Nute Burn?

OK, thanks. I will try dialing back the water. I've not had over-watering problems in the past, but I think this soil could be a little more dense than what I've used before.

    Is This Nute Burn?

For the first three weeks they were in 6L pots with no added aeration. Then two weeks ago I transplanted to 11 L pots with plenty of perlite. I generally wait for the medium to get pretty dry on top before watering and when I water I do so until I get very minimal run-off then I stop. With these...

    Is This Nute Burn?

I have never fed these plants. So I guess soil is hot. Tap water is PPM 350 and run off is 550, but I don't know what to expect there. The pH of the run-off and it's pH=6.5 if I water with pH ~7.5. So I think pH is OK.

Leaf Edges Starting To Turn Yellow

I can also tell you that the plant is stretching, which is consistent with low K. I've been watering 50/50 RO/tap water, which I read (https://www.growweedeasy.com/potassium-deficiency-cannabis) can be an issue that could cause this to happen. There was no very good reason for using it, so I...

    Is This Nute Burn?

By the way, I should say this is in the same tent and the same stage as this Shiva Skunk: https://www.thcfarmer.com/community/threads/leaf-edges-starting-to-turn-yellow.102013/#post-2221676 But what I'm seeing is really different, so I'm starting a different thread.

Leaf Edges Starting To Turn Yellow

Thanks, @Bulldog420, can I ask then what is the protocol at this point? I've never had to deal with a deficiency like this before. Should I just give the recommended fertiliser dose and see what happens? The company says 4 ml/L 1 to 3 times a week (http://www.canna-uk.com/bio-flores). I water...

    Is This Nute Burn?

Can anyone confirm if the following images show nute burn? If so which nute, is it N? These are White Label Northern Lights autos at week 5. They are grown in a mix of about 50/50 or 30/70 enriched compost/potting soil. I'm thinking the soil is just a bit too hot for them. The plants have...

Leaf Edges Starting To Turn Yellow

Since I think I see the problem spreading, I will send some more photos. It's generally on smaller leaves.

Leaf Edges Starting To Turn Yellow

I see why you say low K and we're at the start of flowering, so that is reasonable. Since I don't know for sure what I'm dealing with, I will start by giving the recommended quantity of my Canna Bio Flores and see what the results are. If it looks not good, I will flush.

Has Anyone Ever Did A Grow In An Apartment?

I've done most of my grows in an apartment in a 60x60x120cm tent. It's small but I can squeeze in four autos in 11L pots. I bought a quiet exhaust fan and a 300 cfm carbon filter. I vent into the room and there *NO* smell. Zero. The only time it smells is mid-flowering onwards when I have to...
