What do you think about this genetics selection? What is it missing

Once again not my collection but I like the opinions here. They certainly make a bit of sense. I sifted through a lot this year and found nothing astonishing. I am breeding and sifting along with a few other guys so I expect at least one cool cutting to come out of it all. I'm crossing for...

    Propagation trays + water crystals?

Lex-- that's cool you're allowed to guess that's what I posted this thread for. The crystals tend to be wet all the time and replace water that is lost to the surroundings whether it be dry air or thirsty roots. Amazing controlled release! Okay well its still a work in progress. i'm comparing...

    Propagation trays + water crystals?

lol ok well I just put a layer of crystals down. 1 tbsp + 32 oz water in a tray. Then I layered chunky perlite. Set the oasis on top and they popped roots in 48 hours and the cubes feel just perfect. i think there are a few hundred girls voting the other way ;)

What do you think about this genetics selection? What is it missing

I am not so good at keeping up on the site but I figured that I would keep the record straight here by letting everyone know that it's not my collection :) I do want to expand my collection and I just picked up a few to run this year and compare it to my favorite of the collection listed. I...

    Propagation trays + water crystals?

2 part question- should be pretty straight forward. I've seen people use perlite underneath Oasis propagation medium - it seems that the perlite would wick away extra moisture not deliver it. Is this the intention? Also, i'm trying to use the oasis wedges in individual wells. The big issue is...

Tropf Blumat + Coco or Soil?

I have never run coco but I also never have messed around with the tropf blumat. I have a room that is just perfect and dialed -- and I don't live there (naturally) - it was set for aero but I ran soil and it pretty much runs itself, so I don't wan to trash it. Wanted to make a mom room out of...

CANNA START - Load of shite!

reviving an ancient post. Canna Start gave me pH problems. It's very acidic to stabilize something insoluble in neutral conditions. My guess is a silver halide.

rice hulls vs. vermiculite vs. pumice vs. perlite

Can anybody please shed a bit of light on this situation? I'm mixing my own soil and I'm using coco coir, peat, earthworm castings, and compost; however, I'm also using some other light/drainage type stuff. I realize that each of these amendments (listed in the post title) are different and...

Soil Mix for outdoor, 300 gal aeropot:

Well... I spoke with some people and decided to go with the original formula with just the rice hulls substituted in for the perlite. the peat moss is supposed to be a good medium for beneficial fungus which makes sense because people complain about it being a good place for bad fungus as...

Soil Mix for outdoor, 300 gal aeropot:

Thanks for the replies! I'm not sure how my formulary migrated to be what it is now. For one I got positive feedback on the "original" mix from a lot of locals who are major teamakers. It's definitely a pro-tea mix where tea is going to be loaded on every other day. We are not using the "load it...

Soil Mix for outdoor, 300 gal aeropot:

I'm changing my soil mix based on cost and performance. My initial mix was as follows (not including oyster shell powder and such, just the bulk volume): *this is intended for a lot of compost tea innoculation Base Mix (25%): Earth Worm Castings 12.5% Compost 12.5% Amendments (75%)...

    Cherry Pie

I know certain dispensaries are holding it for certain vendors as an incentive to stay with the dispensary. It's not to be distributed. I'm part of this conspiracy but I have partners and business is fierce. I think that it's supposed to last through 2012 before the genetics are let loose.

What is everyone gonna put outside this year?

whats the goin rate for trimmers this year?

I trimmed 6000 pounds in 57 days. Okay wet pounds, but still... The twister is more than dollars/cents. For one, you can be faced with "mersh" and at 200/lb you're looking at, in one example, 14.2% of the total yield. In this same particular example we were able to take down 70lb/day and it...

    Alaskan Humus suppliers... and.... others-

Anyone have a line on suppliers for Alaskan glacier humus? I'm looking to get about 40 yards which is a good two huge truckloads. Is customs and California agricultural authorities cool with just trucking it over the borders to California? Also- looking for sources of Peat Moss Coco...

    Flowering photoperiods, supplemental lighting greenhouse

So I could use some advice on what strain(s) are good producers and will work well for a supplementally lit greenhouse. Many are constrained by odor, stealthyness, etc. I'm looking for something which could start and veg in feb-mar with supplemental light blasting on it and flower fairly...

    CO2 v.s Butane Extraction

subcritical co2 extraction has higher specificity for actives compared to unwanted paraffins... on the other hand, the unwanted paraffins have mass which is sellable. Gotta cut the street juice with somethin ;)
