What Does Your Pest Management System Consist Of?

This is my fifth year growing outdoors. Grew five years indoors before moving outside. I do have occasional insect damage on my outdoor plants, but the plants are vigorous enough they outgrow the damage. Never had any pest populations worthy of treatment might be a better way of putting it. I...

What Does Your Pest Management System Consist Of?

That's not a pest, that's a beneficial pollinater. Obviously cannabis doesn't need any pollinaters, but this little guy isn't going to hurt your cannabis garden in any way.

What Does Your Pest Management System Consist Of?

This is the outdoor forum right? Never had a pest issue outdoors, not once. Mold in the fall, sure, but bugs have never been a problem outside.

South Vs. North Facing Flower Quality Comparison

I put reflective material on the north side of my plants last year, reflecting the light back south onto the north side of the plants. Saw a significant improvement on the yield on the north side of the plants.

First Time Outdoor How To Avoid Indoor Clones From Revegging

You will be fine if you put your plants out on the solstice. I'm on the 45th parallel and I've taken plants from 24 hour light indoors and put them outside on the solstice and they didn't start flowering until the middle of august and were ready to harvest the beginning of august. Should...

    Switching To Blooming Phase

Not knowing your latitude and strains you're working with I can't say what you're plants will do. I'm almost dirictly on the 45th parallel and most of my strains start blooming by the middle of august. To answer your other question, you will want MUCH larger pots.

How Much N Do I Need To Prevent My Straw Mulch From Causing N Deficiency?

Budbogart is correct, extra carbon (straw) will only cause nitrogen deficiency if it's mixed into the soil. As a mulch it shouldn't cause any problems.

    Weird Preflowering

Yeah, I thought it was weird too. The pollen came from a true male. Not sure of the strain because it came from a friend of a friends garden, but I collected the pollen straight from the male and it didn't look like a herm to me.

Trying To Avoid Last Year's Catastrophe

Put them out on the solstice. This is what I've done in northern oregon and its worked great. They dont start flowering until the middle of august.

    Weird Preflowering

So you agree with my assessment that they are genetic hermaphrodites? Should I be concerned about the rest that are only showing female traits?

    Weird Preflowering

The first of march I started 65 seeds that I made last summer. Around the middle of April they started showing sex, out of all those seeds there were only 4 males, all others showed female preflowers. Now, in the last week of May I've Discovered 5 of those plants have started producing male...

Cali or Hawaii would be great. Oregon's got the best herb, but we're full ;)

    Colorado Curing

This is the method I've used for years, always provided top shelf results. I've always prided myself in the taste/smell and appearance of my bud, this process will ensure the best results, imo.

    Scary Crtter

Might also compare to cicada larvae. Your pictures aren't very good so a positive id is impossible.

    Will This Work?

Not gonna say this won't work but it's going to be dependent on your strain, I think. Also, your July 15th date is going to vary depending on latitude. Seems like a good experiment, but don't count on it working. Don't put all your eggs in one experimental basket. Why not just do light dep, if...

    Will This Work?

I think that if you were to do this they probably will not start flowering immediately, but if they do they should continue flowering just fine because the days are getting shorter. I don't think that they will probably start flowering immediately though. A few years ago I started all my plants...

High Elevation Off Grid Dep Tunnels.

Love to see an update on this when you've made some progress. I'm also an off grid farmer with limited water capacity and hoping to do some diy/cheep light dep this season, so I'm very interested to see how you handle things!

    Favorite Od Strain

I'm in Oregon. Blue Magoo is an old school oregon strain dating back to the mid 90s. It came from a DJ Shorts Blueberry mother pollinated by a Williams Wonder male. Super tight, resinous and extremely stinky buds. I've found anything with blue berry genetics to be exceptional, but blue magoo is...

    Favorite Od Strain

Blue magoo has treated me pretty will outdoors. It's exceptional if the weather allows it to finish properly, and it's still above average even if it has to come down 2-3 weeks early.
