    bho vac oven

my god, I certainly don't think I am in the least bit. I simply look at what most of the bigger extraction outfits are doing. Maybe it is that your techniques often work for the hobbyist but don't carry over to larger scale extractors? I certainly don't want to sway, and if others decide...

    bho vac oven

there still is much to watch in the beginning, but once you get to full vac, yes. well, you need a vac pump attached to it but it will accomplish all of that then. you just get more uniform heat

are you using an oven cap? i find after an initial purge that using two stainless paint scrapers followed by blades helps

I label those who follow you blindly because you say something as sheep. You seemed to imply that most who did the cup up by you had flawed purging methods, so I simply asked if you were going to throw out some of your stuff to be judged? I don't doubt it has the potential to be good... but...

    "Clear Concentrate" praise and questions

they aren't using co2, water, or butane, they've just refined a process that has been around a while. it isn't a cheap process either... i think the buy in is a chunk of change

you can always bump up temps ... sometimes you need to go higher with thicker slabs or certain strains. When you think your slab is done, pull it out, let it cool enough to peel it off and flip it. stick it in the oven again, let it warm up, then pull a vac again and see what happens

Sick of being overcharged for Butane

what about using a closed loop system so that you can recover most of it? kind of pays for itself rather quickly

there isn't enough uneven heat for it to be an issue. think about all the people who make shatter and use pots... we all started there before we started using ovens. letting the oil relax for that time period is a good thing. you should never let your oil cool till much later in the purging...

@pork... there is no strain that autobudders, you have something going wrong in your process/technique such as contaminant, uneven heat, purging too quickly, water, etc. I would go with the two stage 8cfm robinaire as an inexpensive way to go and you can pick it up via amazon. I realize GW...

patty sized? we tend to purge for 12-24 hours minimum, but our slabs are about the size of the rack on a 1.9 oven time three shelves. if you had a ton of ovens and the ability to run super super thin, awesome, but we are always dealing with various constraints. i wouldn't think anything patty...

That is why the AI's are so great for what they are. Sure, everyone would love to drive a ferrari, but we often have to settle on a camry. Also, how much better, if any will a 9k oven really make your product? it quickly becomes a point of diminishing return. yes, there will be variations...

Different metals in an extractor a problem

very good point. unless you are wanting to run a high pressure system, you will never see pressures that will be of issue. worst case, install a pressure release. what i would say to you is that if you are that concerned or would potentially experience pressures that might cause the high...

Different metals in an extractor a problem

LOL... not sure who you were going to order from originally, but looks like you talked to the wrong people. dissimilar metals won't be an issue with stainless and brass. i think you are the first person to be worried about high pressure clamps failing. good luck :)

Different metals in an extractor a problem

why not use high pressure clamps? if you run your system cold, you won't see more than 5-10psi in the system. depending on the size, I have a few in stock

If you could pm me your contact info, you might be of valuable assistance to them to in regards to designing a more oil specific recovery system. For those who want to spend less, the diablo would be a great way to go too. are you able to share what you paid for the haskel?

a better option to appion or caresaver for closed loopers

I just wanted to let everyone know that we will be rep'ing a much improved recovery pump made by Reftec called the Handivac. Here is a link with pricing, but I will be able to get it to you guys for cheaper! Most of us are either using an appion or a caresaver. Neither is well suited to our...

    Graywolf Terpenator success!!

So i've been speaking with the reftek people and they are going to be working on redesigning their handivac model to pass butane certification. currently it will work about twice as fast as the appion, is oilless, has teflon seals, will eventually come with nema 7 and an explosion proof motor...
