Yea just curious what your take on cheap bulbs was. Something wasn't right with the ballast/bulb combo, I've never seen anything like it. I've moved on though. We could not figure it out so I ditched that setup and things are back to normal. Thanks for the response.

I'm curious about these cheap DE bulbs. I just ran some Impulse DE bulbs with some Nanolux DE ballasts and they had a really red spectrum when turned down to 600. My plants fried under them. Any ideas?

Personally I would get the runoff down below 2.0 if using NM and not let it go above 2.0 from there on out. Also, 2.0 is a bit high for NM going in. I would be very concerned with your run off ph being that low. Soil is chocked full of salts. I like to see my run off at around 6-6.2 in coco...

I'm with you on this one. I've done 5 tons per 12k in the past and 5ton's per 10k works much better all around.

Pringles indeed! I think you got it. Don't know if the ballast/bulb combo I was running added to it but it was very red at 600. Way more so than any ballast I've seen turned all the way down.
