No they're not. You can pick up a portable for $219. I agree with the others comments that they exhaust hot air, use up amps and make your room not sealed, needing a fresh air source. I cooked an entire room by not venting a portable properly.

Tomatoe clips. Your grow shop should have them. I took twine and tied it in a grid pattern on the top of the tent. Then clip a tomatoe clip to a suitable spot on the twine grid. Tie a length of twine to that clip then use another clip for the branch.
