    Propane Vs Butane Yield

I suppose it would be scientific to do another run with the same amount propane then try to do a second run using the propane but I would guess it wouldn't pick up as much as the 70/30 mix. Expected yield was 5-7 ozs using one run of 70-30 mix, and total yield should be right around 5.

    Propane Vs Butane Yield

My friend did a run on a closed loop with propane being fed top drip style. 19 pounds of solvent was run through a "5 pound" terrp tube 4x48" which holds around 2.5 pounds of material. Yield was around 4 ozs of lighter than usual oil, 2 ozs sauce and 2 ozs isolate. Then to check how much the...

Best Light And Technique For Seedlings?

Nice information. I have seen @mountainorganics just putting the seeds in his no tills, think it would depend on the ambient humidity. I forgot to mention I usually just place the seeds in a cup to see if the tap roots will come out for up to a couple days and ones that don't open i will...

Best Light And Technique For Seedlings?

I have been out of the seedling game for a minute but want to start popping some. Last time I popped some (2007?) I just user a humidity dome and some cool white t12s, close to the plants as possible. Want to see what cool new things everyone is doing for their babies.

Viton Vs Ptfe Gaskets For Propane Extraction

Thanks guys you are the best. Im not using a dry ice or vaccum jackets around my columns so I would think it would be hard to get it to -40 but would hate to see what happens when the viton gaskets fail =O What does it mean when the PTFE "cold flow"? Lately I have been liking the very slow...

Viton Vs Ptfe Gaskets For Propane Extraction

The lady at the terpp store (u know the one...) told me when using 100% propane it's good to upgrade to ptfe gaskets instead of the usual viton gaskets I currently run. Has anyone had any experience with this or using viton gaskets with propane?

Why not just let the plant go after harvest with a couple buds until seeds form?

Propane Extraction - Blue Rhino Distillation?

Hello, I am doing some research on propane extraction and I can't find any information on distilling gas station Propane like Blue Rhino brand. I know they add the smell detector but my question is can this easily be removed by boiling it out of your closed loop collection pot in a similar...

    Input From Led Growers Wanted:

When LEDs can keep up with yield vs other types, ie getting 6-8 pounds per 8x4 then it will be worth it. Kinda silly to spend all that time and trouble for half the yield of airecooled, but to each their own. Glad to see LED at least making steps in the right direction.:eyepiece::bookworm:

But getting back to the subject some good options would be to add 3 cmh 315w and have two rows of lights like: LED - CMH - LED CMH - LED - CMH This would give a nice blended spectrum all over, just make sure to keep the end rows spread out to make sure the corners get good light. Or even...

Yeah growth is amazing at 70% humidity heard even more crazy at 80%, i just was rocking 75/70 and it was going nuts but got hit with budrot for the first time in 15 years so now its at 50 until i get all the infected plants down in my perptetual room, got to be careful to keep the temps at 80...

True but grow at 9000 ft and you would need to add heaters to get decent VPD...keeping it locked in at 80/70 is the real key to crushing yields without bud rot.

Plus alot of these "3 pounds per 1000w" light dudes are actually using 1200w double endeds and using 50% more in a/c, so if you factor in all their power usage it goes down to closer to 2 per light, thats why i love the cold mointain air, free a/c, would hate to geow somewhere like LA.

Quantum9 aka desert squirrel was actually getting 3 grams a watt on some of his rooms but i think that was rare he said 4-6 pounds per light per plant...4 is 2 grams per watt, 6 is 3 grams for watt. I personally really like 1000w or soon to try 630w lecs vertical on light movers with large...

    Input From Led Growers Wanted:

I have heard of a grower doing one 3x3 plant per 315w cmh setup in a 6x6 plant grid getting 20-24 ozs per plant, so thats a similar 2 grams per watt, plus doubleD on this forum as well as quantum9 were getting 3-6 pounds per light per plant using conventional 1000w HID so alot depends on the...

This homie did a real good job building his setups dropped 3k on the build for a 4x8 and pulled 3-3.5 total which is about 1.5 per 4x4. Think he had 32 50 watt modules so 1600 watts so about a gram per watt, not bad =/

    Input From Led Growers Wanted:

Oh i thought those were people i tried user name searching so those are 150-200 watt led modules of white floros...how do those compare with 315w lec?
  19. D

    Input From Led Growers Wanted:

I tried searching the names you said and didnt come up with anything, so your talking about white floro leds being the best?

    Input From Led Growers Wanted:

Plus another problem with led is what is best? 20-50 watt modules, 3 watt leds, 5 watt leds, what spectrum, etc etc, every big grower i have seen using them ended up using them for veg, until someone you know is crushing it with leds, don't try to outsmart conventional wisdom. They are good...
