Organic Grow Flowering - Rust Spots. Is this a cal\mag deficiency?

To me, it looks like nutrient lockout from salt buildup and/or a PH imbalance. Flushing could reduce the negative impacts of either, but being so close to harvest, you might just want to leave it. I've have similar problems happen from adding too many nutrients mid flower. Less can be more...

Oudoor feeding question how often to feed

I heavily amend my soil in the spring before planting (after testing the soil and targeting nutrients), and don’t feed until flower. And even then, it’s a judgement call. Size of plant, health, etc. This year I am doing tissue samples right before flower starts to try and help target nutrient...

    Book - True Living Organics

Another option, that I have not tried yet, is the KIS Organics nutrient pack. They have instructions on this nutrient pack for how much to add when re-amending, and it's just a pre-mixed organic fertilizer for living soils (and they call for some compost and perlite too). Just another thought if...

    Book - True Living Organics

@freezeland2 Here is a thread I started on TLO growing four years ago, when I first got in to it. https://www.thcfarmer.com/threads/whos-growing-tlo-style-the-rev.89483/ Tip for you! If you do a grow, and then go to re-amend your soil, DO NOT add more coco-coir or vermiculite, as the Rev's...

    Book - True Living Organics

You'll be happy. It's a good book, and The Rev is a good writer - keeps you entertained! You'll definitely learn a lot, and if you decide to move forward with the soil formula, it DOES work. Oh, and I realized that the book I have is "The 2nd Edition" (which I believe is the latest). That's the...

    Book - True Living Organics

It's a great book, and I learned a lot from it (I have version 2.0 though). Aside from the Rev's actual soil formula, he gives a lot of good background information on all of the nutrients, and how and why to use them. I used The Rev's soil formula on two different grows, and had decent results...

Transplant shock over or under watering?

It’ll perk back up. If you were really concerned, you could put some shade cloth over it for a week to lessen the intensity of sunlight. A few tips for next year: - if the plant is showing stress before you transplant, it will certainly show stress during/after transplant: try to make sure...

    Homesteader's Diary

You ever have problems with pests or PM? On a couple of my first grows, I brought outdoor materials in, and introduced just about every pest and pathogen you could think of. I’m emotionally scarred, haha. How do you mitigate this?

Bruce banner 2 weeks into flower

@Vince.indicaguy nice! Did you buy them as seeds or clones? I recently bought some BB from a company called Dank Seeds. I haven’t heard much about the breeder so was curious if these were from them by chance! your plants look great btw. Nice use of the space! (3x3?)

    Homemade Filter

haha, good idea! So funny, I JUST was looking at this filter in the hardware store yesterday, thinking about something similar. I'll be curious to know if it works.

    Fearing the frost...

I go through this mental battle every fall. (our first frost is usually by mid October). I err on the side of waiting... it's not worth harvesting a crop if it's all un-ripe IMO. I harvested a week or two early one year, and didn't enjoy the quality of the high from slightly un-ripe buds. That...

    Fungal hyphae or slime mold

I’ve read that leaf mold can take a couple years to break down. If you want it to go faster, a compost pile work work more quickly for you. If it’s outdoors and you plan to bring it indoors, you’ll bring bugs most likely, so be aware of that.

    Sad plant

Looks to me that your soil doesn’t have enough aeration as well. I cut my seedling soil with about 25% perlite and they love it.

    FFHF Rerun

I just looked at that craft blend. Lots of stuff in there. If you wanted to simplify, I think you’d be fine just adding the craft blend, vermicompost, and perlite.

    FFHF Rerun

Sounds like a good plan to me! Especially since you are going up to a 30gal pot. But ultimately, you won’t know until you try it. Sometimes you gotta just take a stab and see how it goes. Don’t be shy on the vermicompost and compost either. If it was me, I’d do roughly 25% vermicompost and/or...

First Time Grower Requesting Some Insight

I think t5’s are too much for clones. You can get a t8 or 12 shop light for cheap if you want something long. I use regular light bulbs successfully (cfl or led) for starting clones. (There is a window next to these as well with no direct sunlight. Two bulbs is good if no window though. )
