Colorado Takes Aim At The Marijuana Black Market

This is simply not true. Alcohol, which is fundamentally an agricultural product, has been taxed at the federal and/or state levels in the US going back to 1790. George Washington himself led an army of 13,000 soldiers to quell the rebellion sparked by the first one...

White Collar Weed and the War on Small Growers

Unfortunately, this is hardly unique to Cannabis. Small family farms have been in decline in North America since the 1940s: https://www.wuwm.com/podcast/spotlight/2018-04-30/were-not-reading-our-history-the-disappearance-of-small-farms Small Cannabis growers that are starting to feel the...

Indoor grown weed is not green.

A study, published by Nature Sustainability earlier this year, has found that indoor-grown Cannabis has lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions ranging from 2,283 to 5,184 kg CO2-equivalent per kg of dried flower (2.3-5.2 kg CO2-equivalent per gram of dried flower). 🤯 Emissions associated with...

Coco based organic super soil adventure!

Hey so I'm dialing in a coco-based super soil mix. Yeah really 😄 In the late winter I mixed up a modified SS recipe with a 50/50 coco/perlite base plus 5% EWC and 5% biochar plus zeolite (CEC buffers) plus necessary minerals and 1.5 lbs pf nitrogen/cy (chicken litter compost, blood, and...

    HELP!!! SPIDER MITES DURING PREFLOWER

In preflower you can hit them with pyrethrum and then stylet oil ( 3-4 days apart) and follow up with some spider mite predators 3-4 days later if it's not too dry in your grow area.

Jack Herer white spots, pm..? pic

Hydrogen Peroxide is another option late in flower. It degrades to water and oxygen very rapidly, leaving no residues whatsoever. Spray in early to mid-morning. I use an organic product called Oxidate that is super H202 but I think you can use the 3% stuff from your local pharmacy at something...

Are these spider mites or fruit flies?

I second it looks like aphids. You can spray them off the plants with a medium pressure stream of water, best done in the warmest, driest part of the day. But if there are aphids there are also probably ants "rearing" them for their honeydew that might literally round them up and bring them...

    Breeding Auto flowers for seeds

In larger scale breeding systems we're often crossing thousands of plants Let's say we want the seeds produced by Variety B females from pollen from Variety A males. Then we really don't want the Variety B males pollinating the Variety B females, right? We cull the males, but when so many plants...

So you guys think think this is copper deficient?

If it is in fact a micronutrient issue some kelp/humic acid mixture would definitely solve it. Something like Seamax should do the trick. But I'm not convinced it is a micronutrient issue tbh, too many unknowns.

Can this harvested crop be saved? Fungus

If there is fungus on your buds then there will be fungus in your hash, only at even higher concentrations. This is why it's so hard to find legal hash; it often fails microbial testing, even from good looking plants. Fungus doesn't dissolve in ethanol like Cannabinoids and terpenes do, so mold...

    Breeding Auto flowers for seeds

Hopefully you're using regular seeds -and you can use Ethanol spray to keep the males from making pollen!

Rookie Outdoor Grower: How do they look?

They look fine and look like hash phenotypes with lots of red hairs. But I'd go for 70-50 (degF-RH) during drying if possible, that should take about a week to finish. At 60-60 it will take longer is all.

My Flowering Stage is Stalled :(

Are you 100% sure your timer isn't causing lights to come on in the middle of the dark cycle? Your plants are not in flower at all.

Can we have a Breeders Lab subforum for outdoor/greenhouse growers?

    It is sorely needed imho

Dreaming of bud worms early harvest?

Plant some fennel this fall. It's best planted after your first frost. It won't help this year but it will attract so many predatory/parasitic wasps and hoverflies next year that you won't find a single worm on your plants and won't have to spray anything.

Calling on all my Virginia growmies!!

My only complaint about the current situation and purported direction - other than the state of the legal medical market in VA - is the lack of a caretaker rule.

    Tent Gone! Flower Room Started

Looks good but why is this in the outdoor growing subforum? Can some mod move it elsewhere?

Will Marijuana Do This For Me?

Also try hemp hash. Your state probably publishes a list of hemp licenses and any of them will be willing to work with you I am sure. See just how far you can cut back on the pain meds. I'd bet that 1-2% of recommended dosage could be enough, just say you drink a lot of water.

will runoff ppm tell me if i have salt buildup?

vermiculite or calcium bentonite are great natural alternatives. With two 5 gallon buckets it's just 11 trips 😉

Is flushing affective in good old Mother Earth, the Ground ???

Flushing is totally unnecessary in natural, mineral soil with organic fertilizers. Altering pH of irrigation water is also not needed except to prevent clogging of emitters from calcium buildup.
