I just went through the same thing in my grow. Looks almost identical to my situation. It was root rot. My plants have bounced back and are now growing nice healthy roots. The damaged roots will remain. So long as you don't see the rot worsening and you see new healthy roots growing you should...

If I saw a note like that I'd probably return or trash it. My guess would be yes it means you have to go toward the low end of the range. I'd be concerned about the impact on growth. Now if the thing takes a few nutes and grows fast as fuck well then maybe you found a money saver.

Ok, my 5'x5' tent is all set up and plants switched over. Only a day behind schedule due a long work day yesterday. I'll post some pics soon.

The gaps in your scrog net are too big. You should reduce to 2"x4" or 4"x4" gaps and then spread out each branch. Right now they are all covering each other up. You want to see your scrog net filled up as much as possible before the flip. I'd actually get a lot longer until your net is filled...

I was going to suggest the same thing. Give the roots the most room to grow on all sides.
