Also since i hung my new light up. I was able to get the old light down and tinker with it and it seems 4 bars of led are connected to 2 drivers. Series of 2 bars to each driver. My middle bars were the ones that burned out and i disconnected them and connected to a 143v 700ma driver and 3 of the bars are lighting up. Normally they run at 75watts each and with these drivers the total pull from the wall is 88 watts. Of course i am sure there are losses due to driver etc. so it seems acceptable to run them with these. I have 2 of these drivers, so extra 160 watts of grow light should be a nice touch wouldn’t you say? I will try it after this grow ends.

Also my cob is running really hot eventhough it is mounted on a big heatsink. It is messing with the lifespan for sure. So i will dismantle the fans from this old fixture and mount one at the heatsink. That will be done tomorrow.

I took the nl down, since i had dinachem going i only done a 36 hrs dark period because i don’t have a spare tent or a dark area. I wanted to do 3 days but can’t always get what we want i guess :)
I am truly happy with what i have, it is not huge but it is dense and it smells fruity and sweet.

By the way, if anyone searches endlessly to see if biobizz leafcoat can be used in full flowering and sprayed onto fully formed buds without any adverse effects as i did and cannot find a satisfying answer. The answer is yes, it can be used. I had no ill effects. Well i will do a run down of my grow and list the mistakes and the results of experiments when i cut down the dinachem but this one was bugging me and i don’t want to forget it :)

Hi people, i took down the Dinachem too, it was early but a sudden vacation plan has been made and i want to get it dry in the jars in 10 days, there is a person to burp the jars but can’t handle the watering or harvesting. I hung it, didn’t even trim it yet. It was a very last minute plan, i am sure i lost some yield because i took it down early, it should have been taken down 15 days later, but couldnst risk losing my whole plant by giving their responsibility to a caretaker. I will post pictures of the dinachem too.

But for now lets look at these
Dinachem clone 1

NL clone 1

Again Nl

And the family photo, now the ones on the back i am not sure if i should let them flower too or keep them as mothers, thats why they are still in their little pots well we will see. Plus i am sure my designated caretaker could handle watering these, but final weeks of flowering, i wouldn’t even trust myself :)

you couldn't resist! I would fill the tent too!
Felt bad for the lonely ones, in their tiny little pots :)
I don’t know if they will fill the tent, 4x4 so maybe my lights couldn’t handle that but if this goes well, next grow i may go for 6.

Ah by the way, i couldn’t really decide if i should do a new grow journal or continue with this one but either case, i will give the basic info:
3 of the gals are in recycled soil from this grow with added 2 cups of fertilizer blend with all the same fertilizers from this grow (check page 1).
1 is in brand new soil with the same mix
They are in 5 gal again, revegged (taken during flowering)
Trimmed (not a particular technique just to keep the stretch down and the canopy even)
Cheap lux meter reads min 18K lux to 20K lux max on the canopy, probably not that accurate but just to get an idea.
Not lighting the cob so 240watts of pcb’s are lit right now, will add the cob with the switch and add the 2 bars of grow light in the 3rd week (at least thats the plan)

Ok here is dinachem trimmed and drying, a couple more weeks would be better for the bud size and trichome color but i am growing it again so its all good. I am happy with what i ended up with. 3rd grow and all of them succesfully done. Maybe not huge yields (only 2 plants after all) but some sticky, dense buds.

Those look really good! Are you going to weigh after they dry?
Hell, i couldn’t resist again and bought a scale :D Not something very sensitive. It measures with a sensitivity of 5 grams. Since i did kind of a fast dry to get to the curing faster, they are almost ready to be jared, crispy on the outside and little stems crack but doesn’t snap clear off, 1-2 days more maybe.
Well i will give the final result before jarring but for now NL weighs 100 grams or 3.5 oz. It can be something between 100 and 105 but lets just call it 100. And Dinachem weighs 150 gr or 5.3 oz but it has been drying for just 24 or so hours, so it will lose much more weight, it is not going to be as good as the Nl, but i know it’s because i stunted it early on and she never caught up with the Nl. So i started basing my decisions on the needs of the Nl, when to flower, height of the light, position of the light etc etc. I think it will be something close to a 1.4 - 1.6oz or 40 - 45 grams dry.
Probably that light failure 2-3 weeks before harvest made me lose some dry weight because i know i didn’t really catch it on time, i think the burned out strips were like that for sometime.
Well again i am truly happy with what i got but;
This grow, with 4 plants in the tent, i think it will be better per plant and now i know how much abuse they can take :)

Gals looking happy, i was little curious to see how my lights will do from a distance and i haven’t been able to test it truly with my prior grow just 1 week. But they look good and happy, at least to me :) light is at 50+ cms or 20+ inches

Also installed a drip system, a very cheap, very basic one. If it works well, i will probably upgrade to a better one next grow. Also will be good to just hook it to a timer and go to vacation :)

Ok i started a new thread for this grow so this thread is officially over to me
New grow;
https://www.thcfarmer.com/community/threads/second-time-around.98083/

As promised here is a basic run down of rights and wrongs for this grow

1. There is a thing called to much aacts, especially when they are young and if you are doing enzyme rich teas.

2. Always have back-up equipment.

3. Not ideal but Biobizz leaf coat can be sprayed in flowering (just stop at least 2 weeks prior to harvest).

4. If veggin for a long time it is better to start small and transplant before switch.

5. Drip irrigation can be a good way to go for my style of growing.

6. When in organics, to combat anything, it is better to try and shift the dominance from bad bacteria to good bacteria, rather than sterilizing or hurting the microheard in any way.

7. One should comprehend that overcorrecting is way worse than negligence (to a degree of course) and patience is truly a virtue.

8. When spraying with homemade remedies always, always try it on a small scale first.

9. Don’t grow in summer :).

10. Always use the minimal amount of fertilizers and teas to achieve cleanest buds from the get-go and fading at the end does give cleaner smoke.

These are my list of corrections and suggestions, mostly to my future self but for anyone who wants to take something out of this list, please be aware this was my 3rd grow and these opinions and suggestion could change in the future and they are coming from a “newbie”.
Thanks to all, it was a fun ride.
