Gonna throw latest pics up later tonight. Not a lot going on.

I tossed the Budzilla and 8-ball Kush mothers, didn't need em anymore and don't have the space to save them for flowering.

Cuttings didn't root as fast as I'd hoped in the aero cloner, but got signs of roots on a good few stems. Only my second ever cloning attempt so I'd put it down to inexperience more than anything; possibly in my method, or cutting selection. Although I do get the impression that the Budzilla isn't so easy to clone.

Two weeks to there weeks been my experience in peat pellets. That aero machine should speed it up, but I'd give it at least two weeks before giving up on em. Good luck.

Oh don't worry, not gonna give up. The 8-ball kush cuts are doing great, I'm sure I'll have roots this time next week. Budzilla is definitely stubborn though. Gonna let them go three weeks before I clear space in the dome. Gotta give em a fair shot :)

LOL who knows??
Hey man just a heads up I just now got a cycle timer for my cloner and run it 1 on 4 off and it has dropped my temps alot;)
Usually I root faster in my dome so it will be interesting next round to see whats up. Been doing alot of research on the roots also.

See now this is where I get a little confused on the old aero cloner. I've read so many conflicting pieces of info regarding leaving the cloner on constantly vs giving the stem a short dry cycle. What's your take on it? I've only got a 12 site so the pump that came with it is tiny, water temp doesn't go above 70ish, which I understand to be a good temp.

I like to leave my veg plants lit up 24/7 to keep temps etc constant. Whether this applies in the cloner is another thing...

Doesn't show up great in the pics, but showing root nubs on the 8 BK cuts. Nothing on the Budzillas

And the seedlings in the main tent. With any luck I'll time it right and they can flower alongside the cuttings if they root. They won't all necessarily get used, strong stock only, and will keep any potential mother plants.

I was just getting nubs in mine but no roots, because the cloner water temp was easily in the mid 80's.
The cycle timer dropped my temps, and roots followed in 2 days.
I took the cuttings at the same time. Dome smoked the cloner.
But I will have to see a real side by side with temp dropped next run.
If Your temps are ok then You prob dont need to buy a timer.

The two biggest are the Pure Kush. They are 23 days along since germing and I'm impressed with the growth so far. They are in 70/30 coco/vermiculite. The other two smaller ones next to it are the Afghan Skunk. They are 50/50 coco/vermiculite blended with beetle frass.

In the bottom of the Pure Kush pots there is a little experiment going on. I've got about 2 inches of loose gravel. I'm hoping the roots will dangle through the gravel and make for a nicer root system after final transplant.

With the 50/50 coco/vermiculite mix, I'm seeing what the half and half ratio produces. I'm a little concerned the medium may not hold together as well when it comes to final transplant, but we'll see. Great drainage on both in any case.

Yesterday morning I decided to switch the aero cloner to a 15 min on, 1 hour off, instead of 24/7. This happened overnight

Gotta be relevant, right? Only took this pic of the best one, but quite a few got 3mm or so of roots, and nubs showing on quite a few others. Not sure whether to put the sudden root growth down to over saturation of the stem, or maybe the cuts didn't like the water temp with the pump constantly running. Thanks @Polar510 for putting the idea in my head either way :)

The roots are literally growing in front of my eyes in the aero cloner. Five hours since that pic the roots almost doubled in size and are now in a 3 inch rockwool cube along with three others. The other three were not ready 12 hours ago. Well 12 hours later they were ready and in rockwool now as well.
