I like a 50/50 fox farm ocean forest/fox farm happy frog mix with 3-4 cubic feet of perlite per 100g of soil. Its a simple mix and works great. Don't have to feed for the first few weeks either, the ocean forest has a lot of great stuff in it. Plants love it and do great.

Thats a 100g pot on the left and 12' bamboo for a size reference. This was taken the last week of august.

Depends on where you grow, the style of growing your shooting for, and how much money to spend.

If you are in a hot area, you want soil that will retain water. If your near Grass Valley, the best soil money can buy is being sold at Rare Earth Landscape called Coots soil mix.

Give us a little more details, where you live, what temps you deal with ext.

Bulldog would you amend coots mix before planting or is it ready to plant for a full season of mostly just watering? Asking in regard to the north Nevada city san juan area
