I took 2 critical out of the tray because it was getting pretty crowded. This is better i think. Also took some lux reading from different points. Tops of the plants and the lowest readings are from the shortest plants. Even at the lowest, satisfactory readings.

And some flower clusters tho too much light washes the details out, they look ok.

No i moved two criticals inside the tray and took the critical runt out. Makes much more sense. :D

Also love this light distribution. No dark spots.

Some frost on the peyote cookies.

They are much more happier with a little bit of space and nugs coming along nicely. This is like the 8th day of flowering by my count.

Stretch is almost over. The flowers sites are well established. It seems promising thus far. Blue kush #3 shows beautiful purple colours under leaves. Peyote cookies are already pretty frosty, i think they will be extremely sticky. Criticals are pretty uniform and they look very healthy in general. I will take pics of these characteristics in time. Also the blueberry #3 i chose as a seed mother is showing beautiful pink hues.

Watering every 2-3 days now. They got a root drench flower booster. After the flowers show i don’t spray. It was a bit of kelp extract, aloe fpe, flower fpe. Not for npk but micros, enzymes, hormones, aminos and all. Other than that still no feeding, i’m pretty happy with my current mix. Some show a tiny tiny amount of tip curl as a result of nitrogen abundance but its perfectly normal and we have a long way to go. Its nice to have the nitrogen silos full.

Bud formation on one of the criticals. It is #4 i think but have to check. (Edit; it was critical + #2)

Frost on peyote cookies #1, the others are the same too.

Some colours, blue kush #3 with beautiful purple-pink under leaves and a more vibrant purple-pink on blueberry #3 seed mother. It seems the clone is doing better colourwise compared to its first run.

Also i remember that i was gonna see if there is a correlation between early germination and vigorous growth and the answer is no. The 2 most uniform cultivars, peyote cookies and critical+ shows no correlation between germination time or tap root length produced in a given time frame and general bud formation or growth vigour. Critical+ #1 is the smallest while #4 (edit; it was critical+ #2) has the best bud formation and its the tallest. As for peyote cookies, they all look the same to me with a couple of inches of difference in height. #1 and #3 are the tallest.

Still no feeding. I wonder how long will this mix sustain them with straight water.

Its going well in general.

Sad news.

Blue Kush #1 hermied. I found 10-12 bananas. No signs of pollination on the others. Culled it. It was the biggest plant in the tent and with crazy good side branching. I took couple of clones. If it takes, i may run it once more to see if the problem stems from the environment or the genetics. This makes two with blueberry #1 from the prior run.

Also one more thing i noticed is that when bananas pop or about to pop from the calyxes, the pistils turn brown. Not from the tip to calyx but from calyx to tip. It starts at the stem of the pistil. I don’t know, i just noticed this and thought i share. It is an easy way to diagnose a banana issue from far away.

Its a shame you had to cut that one down. Its a good thing you have a few more in there.

Yeah its a shame. 2 more blue kush in there now. One is the mutant and the other with beautiful purple hues under the leaves. If only that colourful one survives it would be enough for me :)

Also the mutant one started to throw healthy leaves lately and it almost looks normal now. I’ll post some pics.

I’m also a little worried about critical #2 as it shows some brown pistils. Might be an hermie issue. Keeping an eye on it.

2 shining examples from 2 different cultivars so far with different aspects. Peyote Cookies #1 with purpling leaves and amazing frost and Critical+ #2 with robust flower formation.

And this is Peyote Cookies #3. The pistils are turning brown very prematurely by my count. I’m not sure why. The rest of the plants have these browning pistils but only couple on each. I guess thats normal but this one makes me worry a bit.

Who knows. It could always be a genetic thing. Maybe it's focusing on making frost rather than more flowers.

Who knows man. But its not the frostiest either. I think i’ll only keep the #1 from peyote cookies. They are very uniform but #1 seem to produce better frost and will probably end up producing fatter buds. Tho only time will tell.
