I'm searching for CBD rich strains in seed form can any one direct me to mail order availability? I have a friend who benefits from cannabis but does not like the high aspects of the medicine.

Many of the autoflowering strains are high in CBDs, such as Himalayan blue diesel, pekeruder, solid bottom, autoflowers are also super easy to grow, unfortunately the yield is very small, but the flowering times are short, 60-75 days from seed to harvest. Soma rockbud, cannatonic and a few others, which are regular non-autoflowering strains are also supposed to be high in CBDs. Hope this helps.

Interesting subject and lovely genetics, something I'd be interested in for sure. I've spent too many years of hit or miss with strains that are even semi close to those...Thanks keep up the good work, Montannabis

recently I read if you harvest when trichs are clear to milky the cbd count is higher as apposed to waiting until you have a mix of milky to 40% amber

just curious how much that could affect testing
  19. Sea Of Green

    Sea Of Green Guest

I'm not that well versed on testing for cannabinoids. Or on how that, or other factors such as those you describe, could affect testing as far as detectable CBD levels.

To the best of my knowledge, it sounds possible that it could. Because both CBD, THC, and/or all other cannabinoids, are all derived from other precursor chemicals and/or cannabinoids. Meaning it takes catalysis to create, or biosynthesize them from a different type of chemical/compound. And the breaking down of those cannabinoids by further catalysis can create even more types. So if you don't wait as long for the CBD to become something else by exposing it to too much light(UV-B light in particular), and/or by giving it more time for the plant to biosynthesize it enzymatically into THC, then you might preserve more of it for testing by harvesting/drying the sample to be tested at the proper time as to allow for that.

Here's some tidbits that explain more.
