For size reference the flowering plants up top are in 3 gallon pots. So they are pretty good size. The plants are 18-20” tall and once my quantum boards arrive I’ll be replacing the burple with them to really crank up the production in the flowering chamber. I think the quantum boards are the perfect grow light setup for this type of home grow rack.

And it’s so easy to clean. I use Clorox wipes and cleaning is done in minutes. Even wiping down the cover is quick and painless. I wouldn’t have to wipe them down if I didn’t foliar feed them but I like foliar feeding early in flower.

They are coming along real nice. Those are some beauties.

Thanks. Yeah I’ve been impressed with the growth so far. It’s becoming a hassle keeping them small until my quantum boards get here so I can put a few more into flowering.

I'm still teetering on whether I buy Quantum or more concentrated COBs. If I can afford it I'll do both. I'm really impressed with CF Grow's Black Sun fixtures. They have a very polished look and if ordering direct from China are a lot of bang for the buck. My plans are for a front deck grow room that I'll be hanging out in all the time so I want eye candy. A perpetual grow gives me a lush garden room to enjoy year round.

I like the color and how the lights are flush but it was the smoked glass that really sold me. I love my lights from ShenZhen. Their quality and style are impeccable.

Just upgraded the bottom veg light from T-5 flouros to a 200w LED grow light. So far I’m getting more light and less heat. Going to run them for a few hours and see what the temps do. So far I’m seeing a 7-8 degree cooler veg chamber temp. It got up to 86 today with the T-5 so I’ll report back in a couple hours what the new readings are.

Temps are about 5 degrees cooler and there’s quite a bit more light coming from the LEDs vs T5 lights I had. The spectrum is also more natural and the light is penetrating past the canopy better. Overall I’m very pleased with the upgrade.

Nice grow JWM and appreciate your effort to share with us.It looks like some winners you've got!!!

Thanks bro. Just waiting on my quantum qb288 panels to show up so I can take the wife out for date night. They require direct signature so I’ve got to wait another 30 mins before we can leave. Ahh well. Hope to have more pics up showing the new light soon.

Ok the upgrade is complete. The quantum qb288 boards have been mounted and are ready to go. The switch over was painless and took all of 5 minutes to do. Putting the quantum board together was the hardest part as I took my time and wanted to do everything the right way the first time. But even it was super easy to do. I might end up adding a 4000k qb288 in the middle to add a little more blue to the spectrum but I haven’t decided yet. That would require upgrading the driver and buying another board. But it wouldn’t be difficult to do.

Last week this is what it looked like. Vispar spectra in the top section and T-5 in the lower section. To be honest I was still quite happy with this configuration.

Today we have a 200w veg light down below and a 260w 3000k quantum board light on top that can be expanded to three if needed. I think the upgrades will pay off nicely.

Update on the Cali-O. Just repotted her as she was starting to get rootbound. Few more days and I’ll top her and use the top for a clone.
