I'm either going with 1 630w cmh or 2 of the 315s for each 4x4 area. My thought is the 630 is easier. Is there any downside?
The 630 comes with choice of one double ended bulb or 2 single ended. Which is best?

Run both of you have that option.

Make sure you get the correct t9 or t12 style bulb for your correct application.

What broke on the bulbs? The spot welds on the t9 specifically

That's a shipping issue. I've been thru 20 already.

They would burn out prematurely. I would run for 10 hours on first fire. They just had constant firing issues. I used a different brand and they fired right up.

I own 30x 930 and 942. I've had 1 bulb burn out 8n 2 yrs. They will not last the 20-30k hrs. They may, but I still change out yrly.

Yup
Always immediately check the t9 bulbs. T12 I've yet to find a bad one.

If Phillip's beefed up the 2 spot welds that break easily, it may not happen.

The bulb burnout thing really makes me want to vero up my tent. I have had no isses with my 1 bulb but you are all making me nervous and i do love a potentiometer on a light. A LOT

Yeah it sucked when I was in flower and go back and check and the mfer was off. Super annoyed when that happened.

Reason why I always have backups. You never know when a bulb, ballast, fan, etc bishes out and you need an item.

I have a nanolux 315 cmh with a maxi bright 4k bulb that has been in there for 3 grows (about 12 months usage and still going strong (I know I should change it but I'm cheap :P)
I also have a lumii 315 with the lumi solar 3100k bulb.
Iso far using both in flower works wonders
Ive found that the 4k in flower creates larger buds and lots of trichomes but he 4k makes denser buds
I now use them both in 1 tent but it' my first time doing this so not sure how it will turn out in the end

The more orangey coloured light in the photo is closer to the 3k and the other 2 photos are closer to the 4k

what i do not get is.....4k is for flower? and 3k for veg?..... because that is not how the light spectrum works for every other plant.

I love my cmh but i really think I will sell it with my spares and get a 6 X 100 vero fixture from Timber. In my tiny tent it is pretty crazy how much the plant loves the light.

I might go crazy and do mixed spectrums on the fixture. 6 veros 4 x 3k and 2 x 4k..

Dan will help me out when I am ready.
