I just dropped a wedding cake s1, purple punch s1 and two cookies n chem in water. They’ll go in a paper towel either tomorrow or the next day to finish germing. I’m going to run them all in M3 Michigan mix but can’t find anything on how seedling take to the soil, if it too hot. I have some other soil I could use as a buffer as well. Anyone have experience with this soil?
I’ll be running a Growers Choice 315cmh with a 4K Philips bulb through veg and then possibly swap to a GC 3K bulb for flower. My tent is small 5’7” so the plants need to remain at a smaller stature. Final pots will be 3gal smart pots and I’ll supplement the with Epsom, Recharge, and whatever I have left from nectar of the gods. I’m going to do a weekly foliage spray of Ful-Power and aloe. I’ll post pics when there’s more than just beans in a cup

24 hours in a cup and now a paper towel for 24-48 hours. Some of the seeds have already popped but I like a decent tap root. The other two strains are for my small outdoor. LA Confidential is a fem and Pakman by Thunderfudge is a reg so hoping for at least one female

I’m also going to use a milder soil for the top half of a solo cup for the seedlings. The bottom will be the M3 mix, let the plant find what it needs. The seeds will hit soil either tomorrow night or Wednesday morning

I just posted a few thought on M3 soil on another site (Was Dat You? LOL)..It is LOADED with nutes..15-33-35 and sounds even hotter than FFOF (Many seedlings died when I tried it.)
Oh..that claim of "best Soil in the World" sounds like pure BS.

Something else I learned the other day was to use coffee filters instead of paper towels since they are less apt to rip the tiny root hairs..

The purple punch and cookies n chem had nice tap roots this morning. The wedding cake hadn’t made much progress but they all went in to cups this morning because I’m impatient lol. Hopefully they’ll all be above soil by tonight or tomorrow. I’ll post a pic once there are some plants to see

Purple punch and cookies and chem are above soil. Wedding cake is struggling but I’m hopeful she makes it. I’ll give it until Saturday before popping another

CnC and Purple Punch are officially above ground and shell free. I don’t think the others are popping but I did turn off a fan and turned down my exhaust fan to help raise the temps some, hopefully low 80’s will motivate those little bean bitches

Greenpoint. I believe it was from me rushing the germ process and not waiting for a bigger tap root. The temps were higher in the tent today so I’ll check tomorrow and make a decision then. I don’t want it getting too far behind the others

I think I see a little progress with the remaining beans. I moved away a little dirt and saw some green so hopefully they’ll see the light and push to the heavens lol. I’ll check back later today to see what they’re doing

The purple punch and cookies and chem are looking good. I’ll post a pic tonight.

So far, no luck with the other beans so I’m going to reset them. Lesson learned...don’t rush the germ process. My hope is that wedding cake has some vigor and won’t fall too far behind pp and cnc. The others are going outdoor anyway so I’m less concerned about losing a few days

Purple Punch (front left) - it’s pretty vigorous with pretty wide leaves.
Cookies n Chem ( middle and front right) - both are growing well and vigorous as well. I’m going to backfill a little to cover up some stems that stretched a little.
Wedding Cake is gonzo. I haven’t started another seed yet and I’m on the fence as to whether too much time has passed and could it catch up. Thoughts?!?

La Con is actually still fighting to become a plant so I’m hopeful to have something for outside. The Pakman beans are likely done as well...patience.

My okra look sad af too lol
