Drip System Running Out Of Water?

I gotta go out of town for the holidays. What will happen when the water runs out? is the pump going to burn out ? Will it damage the drip system ?

Pumps shouldn’t be ran dry. What media are you in and how far along are you. Could you transplant into soil to save on waterings?
