I will start with the only book I have...

"Teaming with Microbes"..Its great and a must read, IMHO.

I am looking for a compost tea book...any help would be great.
I figure other folks might aprreciate knowing where to source this valuable info, also.

Dr. Ingham has a Compost Tea Brewing Manual, but in my opinion it's overpriced. Look at the links I posted in the Bountea thread and you should have plenty of info. Let me know if you have trouble finding any info. or have questions.

Oh and Jeff is a great guy. If you ever get the chance to hear him speak live, he's quite a character! :)

I'm going to get a subscription to Acres, USA magazine. I learned as much in a single introductory issue as I did with my old Martin Moe, Jr. Marine Aquarium Handbook: Basics to Breeder (or whatever that old book was called, it was priceless to me!). I have a whole list of books I want to get that they carry, books on weeds, books on pasture, books on farm animal husbandry, organic farming, soil and soil conditioning, the list is almost endless (and promises to be rather expensive).

I think this is a good place to suggest folks look into Slow Money. It's a new investment strategy that focuses on rebuilding the soil, rather literally, with the ROI being the soil itself instead of just financial.

Enough with the talk, I just made a donation.

For general organic gardening I have found these to be helpful. They are not really cannabis related, though some of the info is certainly applicable:

How to Grow More Vegetables and Fruits (and Fruits, Nuts, Berries, Grains, and Other Crops) Than You Ever Thought Possible on Less Land Than You Can Imagine by John Jevons.

The New Organic Grower: A Master's Manual of Tools and Techniques for the Home and Market Gardener by Eliot Coleman.

I have found *the* best and most reliable information keeping away from cannabis-specific reading. The only exception to that, and I still don't own the book, is the Robert Clark book on cannabis. It's nothing to do with organic farming or growing, it's specific and, IIRC it's cited very often as he did good, solid work.

Awesome! <Sea high 5's dex> Community supported agriculture, coming soon to a town near you!

Btw, a friend gave me the Teaming With Microbes book, I've been reading it while exercising. Good stuff, even if... um... well, it was clearly written for the layman. Nothing wrong with that, but I've heard so much about the book that I expected much more. It's a primer, a good primer, much like The Conscientious Aquarist is a good primer.

If you guys come across any book downloads you should hit me with a PM.

Disclaimer, I like to support good authors, if I enjoy their book I will buy a hardcopy, hopefully nobody gives me the copyright speech.

The 3 best Organic Gardening magazines are Organic Gardening, Mother Earth News and Acres, the latter being more for commercial growers with lots of good info though.
