What I have found with those galaxyhydro is you can run the wheels off them and they have a warranty LOL. They're 3 watt LEDs so by everyone standards their weak. For me that just means putting the light a little bit closer. It has two different lens angles so it has a nice wide spread on it. It has a lot of great red nanometers. Some great blue nanometers plus the UV and IR. It even has some white but they don't tell you what Kelvin and they don't show you a spectrum output. The three watts are pretty efficient and it runs pretty cool. For old school junk is still kind of expensive I saw them for $80 on Amazon. But then I also saw that Mars Hydro 300 drop their price to 65 dollars. Good luck with any warranty from Mars Hydro though even new LOL.

Check out the specs on those cheap panels from eBay. They are the two best and most efficient nanometers possible 450 + 660. They use about 20 watts at the wall and produce no heat. Placing those just below the canopy pointing at those small buds with thin stems we'll beef them up big time. There will be nothing more efficient or least expensive you could do. I would go with two galaxyhydro 300 on top and four panels on sides. For a three-by-three that would be sufficient.

24 veg 18 flower. Here's a pic of a galaxy Hydro 600. Would show you the 300s but they are in there boxes right now. I really like this light a lot it has all the best red nanometers for flower plus UV, IR and white.

I like these panels. They are pretty effective and have good nanometers of 450 and 660. They run about a dollar per true Watt which is a little expensive but they are extremely versatile and don't produce any heat. The price has came down about on these kingbo they are pretty good too. But you have to be realistic about a panels they are pretty weak. You might be okay with a lot of it depends on the size and age of your plant and rather or not it can take it you really just have to monitor and see how it does. If we are talking a galaxyhydro it has two different angle lenses an a very widespread so you can still get coverage at 18 inches. If you are using a light that only has 60 or 90 degree lenses the light will be more focused and it will also have a higher par value with less coverage.

1st led grow getting nervous thinking that I might need side-lighting grow space 3by2 9 (2 galaxlyhydro 300's)

The best thing to do is start high and move it down in two inch introvals checking it every few days.

was at 22 inches now at 18 - thanks for the advice - concerning side-lighting really don't know what would work better the panel's you all mentioned or a good cfl' . PEACE! may be 2 of each - thinking four one for each "side"- gave all ways use cfl's but don't know the effect if any mixing the two ?

Those cheap $20 panels will produce literally no heat compared to those CFLs. If heat is any kind of a problem I would go with the panels.

Are you using 6500 K CFLs? They will run cooler than 2,700 K CFLs CFLs are great but those panels are more efficient and really don't make any heat.

The kingbo panes do get a little warn but those cheap $20 panels from eBay literally don't make any heat at all.

yes - run 6500 veg and 2700 flower for cfl's - thinking of the panels that were mentioned so my total wattage would be (2 galazthydro's 300's (140 each = 280) and two panels (at 45 per x's 2 = 90) total 370 watts guess that isn't to bad - thanks for all your help !!!!!!!!! Peace
