Mutant Clone Stock? Help

I have 2 clones outta 15 that have done this. I have no idea why or how. Can some one tell me why its getting so fatty like that at the base?? Thank u

My strawberries n cream will do this as well. I don't pay any attention, unless I see an issue.

You also have algea growing on the medium surface. Adequate air flow can help stop this problem. Also only water when needed.
