Do you keep a separate reservoir for those pots? Some people tell me that for 2 plants you really don't have to have a recirculating system just change and clean out the buckets every week? Me personally wanna go with a recirculating but I'm still undecided. Great pics

Ok bro sounds good just 1 last question, I run a 600 and 400 watt hid,
The temps at ground level are about 70 to 75 Fahrenheit. That doesn't mean the water is that temp? Basically do you think the lights will raise the temperature of my water? Once I have some room in my flower rm I'm gonna set the buckets up and give it a run for 3 or 4 days and see how it works out without any plants just water and air stones.
Hey thanks for the help.

I'm on concrete, so that helps with my waters temps, but I'm running chiller with this unit. In 5 gallon buckets ,Used a aquarium heater cause my ground was so cool ... I had a fan go out , and my roots was still chilled at 70 , and my room went from 80 to 96 for 3 days , and never skipped a beat...

Well since most beginner hydroponics users try DWC and 75% fail even i failed at it the first round after a few years of other hydro methods. So I have an alternative to plain DWC that doesn't PH spike all the time like DWC and you already have everything for it your just missing one part to make this a much more first time hydro user friendly unit!!! IMO that is!!! I am not even sure how many growers that replyed other than @MrTools9 who does well sporting the same units that @BakedReality has made popular and rocked the DWC world out of the DIRT with for a while now. However I think most everyone here who is a hydro grower may agree with this as well

This is a water farm solo bucket it is dam near a DWC/RDWC hybrid. What this really is; it is a top drip feed system that uses an rdwc setup with one extra part but I feel it will be much more reliable with the success for beginners and more fun for advanced growers. Let's show ya hoe to put one together shall we you can get them on amazon for ten or fifteen bucks!?

Here we have The diy water farm kit itself..... yup that's all it is cooler than it looks I promise you :)

With this fitting seen here in pic 2 it allows the unit to both push water out of the top ring with the air hose that is attached to it, then bubbles your buckets out of the big hole in the bottom at the same time
20150714 004552

Now lets put the two pieces together simple enough

20150714 004535
then the ring
20150714 004643
cut one piece of your basket on one side DO NOT CUT IT OFF do it Like this if you cut it all the way out your rocks will fall into buckets and clog the water hole in the dripper you will have to force the brown tube in with some force

Put air line on the pump and the line out of bucket and then your done filer up add plant and rocks plug er in and grow

Noice man Noice That's an awesome looking inline for sure @MrTools9 I gotta ask how much does one of those systems usually run you to build in total...... the way you go at it I'm surprised you don't build an outdoor greenhouse MPB system between you and Bake I can never tell who is in the lead lol. Keep it cool

That's awesome bro! I have not been on in awhile but this is what I did.
I got rid of my 600 watter and added a 1000 watter instead but yo, that shit pumped out crazy heat!!! My temps soared bringing my water temps to 75 degrees and up! I added an 8" duct with a fan pumping in to the grow room which helped considerably but water temps were still at 75 so I made a swamp cooler out of 3/4 pvc pipe and it sits 1 foot above my reservoir and i drilled about 100 holes in the top part and with a fan blowing on the falling water, it brought my temps down from 75 to 66.2 degrees. The bad part is after I put my 2 seedlings in there buckets, very next day I find out that a tax assessor was stopping by to check out the completed work in my house and I had to get rid of all my plants lmao! Well not exactly lmao because I'm sick to my stomach! 30 fucking plants!!!
I have no one I trust with my projects. I fly alone my friend but on a positive note I know what had to be done.
Thanks for sharing!

Lmao! I tried that with the 16.9 ounce water bottles it lasted about an hr so I gave up fast. I'm out if my house up to 15 hrs a day so that wouldn't help but hey man thanks for all the help your throwing this way!!!

Those are face nice I have thought of getting one for myself and my grow room it just for me and my area seems redundant for the cost when I already have a great Hanna that i use by hand and it is a top end version of the Hanna lineup of products well was about a year in a half ago.... so at the moment in time i will pass on the unnecessary cost of living fancy just to watch my levels sit pretty. I really like the idea of having one tho just a little bit of a splurge item for me and my needs

Keep posting on the thread bro I am waiting for the first installment of bud porn this month and the last few you have fell out of the bucket and the thread lol

Yo that is insane lmao!
Is that for 1 plant? Yo I'm in bed now but tomorrow I will show you pictures of what I picked up so far. Everything for just 2, 5 gallon buckets but since I have time waiting to clear out my flower room, I am thinking of 15 to 20 gallon reservoir for recirculation but I am straight up newbie with hydro. Soil for 20 years. I gotta pick your brain a bit if you don't mind because that picture shows me you know your hydro.
Thanks for sharing brother.
Same here!
