Wouldn't it be easier to take a small cutting, root it for a week, then put it under 8-10 hours. It should reveal it's sex quickly...look for the hairs. You can tell pretty early. I have done this for years and it's free...in either case you need to take a sample. A small clone setup would suffice...and you can replant any females!
