@alexanderAB to clarify
I mean; don't let your soil dry out entirely like that, and when you water don't over-water ... I'm not saying water less or more really, just try to be more consistent and don't under-do it or over-do it. If you can let things dry out a bit that's good but if the soil is refusing to take water that usually means it got to dry.
Does this make sense?

@alexanderAB, loosen the soil without breaking roots if you can, thats what aerating is.

@Madbud , yeah i can do this by tapping on each of the sides of the pot this will create a gap around the soil, you think it's worth it ? That's how i do when i repot them .

Thats compacting the soil even more, i would be loosening it, frack it!

@Madbud I see what you mean now , pressing each opposite sides , thus fracturing the soil somehow.
